In the omega shield's description it says that it was made out of the shell of a tortomega. Who/what is it? is it a more powerful version of the tortodrone? perhaps, even a BOSS tortodrone?
Is there anyone who knows who/what it is?

Tortomegas were never in the game, but still have some things based off them. Similar to Owlites, Vog, etc.

It could have been a scrapped name for T3 tortodrones.
Considering Vog is some kind of ultimate fire being, I doubt it would have much to do with a large turtle.
It could either be like that thing they did with vog, or they could've forgotten the name and accidently put that instead. Get where I'm going with this?
It is probably a variation of the tortodrone considering how the stone tortoise used to drop from them.
Except that the Vog is an actual mob in the games files, complete with animations, unique particle effects, and video in a SK promo where it's shown off.

@Dukeplatypus: those were vog cubs.Vog itself is a sort of fire deity of Spiral knights lore,seeing as theres a shrine dedicated to Vog,as told in the Lord Vanaduke lore where he finds the shrine and asks Vog to restore the former glory of Almire.
anyway.....back on topic......Maybe Tortomega is like a grandmaster tortodrone or something.i dunno.could be.but i wish the devs or somebody could give us some answers about the tortomega...
Vog is not a species, Vog is a fire deity. Vog cubs are just forcibly converted Wolvers who spread his burning love.

There has been nothing in-game known as a Tortomega as far as I know. Perhaps it's a variation of the Tortodrone? Can't even say.
