Weak status bombs

as you may know, there are a couple haze status bombs that, because of the recurring trend to inflict a minor case of said status effect, are barely helpful to bother using.

these are.. of course:

Venom Veiller, and Stagger Storm

these bombs would be much more useful, if they were to inflict a moderate, or even strong version of their status effect.

For stun, as far as i know, a stronger version only varies in duration. As for poison, i assume it increases the amount that Attack and Defense are affected.

I would really appreciate seeing these weapons' potential more effective and worthwhile

Statuses are situational

Sometimes some statuses are better than others. I like Venom for T3 Seerus sometimes, as it essentially renders Menders useless. I do not have Stagger though I hear it has its uses in Lockdown. I support buffing vaporizers, but only if all are equally increased to greater status duration.

You have a point

but I think that only the SS should get boosted. The VV has a possibility of being OP after said boost because of the defense nerf that enemies get. Lets say you are battling a mob of slags where if their defense is nerfed even more it may only take one combo to kill 3-4 slags instead of one combo+one hit. That second and a half difference can make it a lot easier.

But I like bombs so upgrade away!!!

Of course, increasing Stagger Storm's duration would really help it out- nobody "harmlessly subdues a dangerous species" in four measly seconds. May make Jelly Armor more popular than the ever-irritating Wolver line in LD. Plus, if they ever get around to fixing that Vana glitch where Stun makes him attack twice...

I dont think there's much difference between poison levels other than a 1-2 seconds of extra duration. Same for stun.

Would it really hurt changing it?

i agree that the poison shouldnt be too harsh, but honestly as of now .... it only adds about 8-12 extra damage

and taking consideration of how many combos of whatever weapon it takes to kill this enemy on current stratum. Maybe a better poison could more reliably and more often give you enough extra damage to take out that enemy in a fewer amount of hits.

if I said that in a way that you couldnt really understand, then ill simplify~

say a devilite has 900 health here, and in one combo, you deal 250 on the first hit, 250 on the next, and 300 for your final hit. that's a nice 800 damage, but the devil has only 100 health left, but it can still pose just as much threat as one with full health.

now lets say there is a Venom Veiller in play, and with a more potent poison, it's letting you deal ~40 extra damage per hit. now with damage lookinglike 290-290-340, you can take care of each devil in a single combo, without having any doubts or inconveniences

all im saying is that I think that its good to open up that possibility a little bit more. I'm sure in this case, less people will shun you for simply having the weapon on hand

That makes sense

although what if it is made on a set scale? So that going solo it will be more effective than in a full group.

i dunno bout that..... considering that the Venom veiller is the only mist bomb that doesnt give the bomber an immediate advantage (except for maybe taking less damage from a swipe that may have missed if the enemy was frozen or shocked) i think that its safe to say that the bomber in question is supporting a team. and judging by the fact that all of said bomber's weapons currently equipped serve a support role/niche, then that bomber is probably me.

but anyways, venom veiller is much more of a team support weapon, and should not function better/worse depending on the case.... but all i want right now is for it to be good to start with.

I also hope the stun status is looked at and "fixed" if you will

If I remember Correctly, Status Bombs were Nerfed int both Size & Duration for being a bit too "OP'd."

I'll try to find the Patch Note.
