I had a blast when there was a full shock gate I felt like it was just as hard as vanaduke if not harder to get pass it. I would like to see something with a miniboss or boss in shock and to bring back to the old-school quicksilvers to keep things a little more challenging with few mat drops on some things. I think with less mat drops will make the market less flooded with mats and make everyone grind more for mats to craft or to sell. Thanks :)

Gates are made by players. There are already some shock bosses and mini-boss (twins, red twins and arkus). There is very little difference between old and current quicksilvers. In fact current ones are more challenging and fun.

Until they bash into everything

Had a T2 stratum 4 danger room in a Vana-bearing gate... the theme for it was jellies and quicksilvers.

Easiest. Danger room. Ever. The quicksilver's pinballed all the jellies to submission, alongside themselves. All I did was shield and run around... next thing I know I have 2 quicksilvers to fight and that was it.

(Granted the first 2 waves had decent challenge but the third wave spammed too many quicksilvers, which in turn made me laugh at the rest of the room cause normally the third wave's hardest)

Rarer mats won't make people grind more.

They'll make people more dependent on the AH. It's higher drop rates that make people grind instead of shopping because they'll feel they can get their own.

If I need 5 pieces of a mat and I know I can get all 5 from 1 run I'll go into the Clockworks. If I know I'll need 5 runs to get each piece I'll buy them instead.

You're right in saying that making mats rarer would drive prices up, but that's because people will grind LESS. They will, however, rage more about mats being too hard to get.
