Java(TM) Platform SE Binary has stopped working

Hoping to get some help with this issue as it's really messing my game up. I get this error message when I launch my main character through steam, typically when I hit the social button. Originally it seemed to be happening randomly..but it grew more consistent over the last few days since the latest patch. I've uninstalled java, and reinstalled java 36 and 64 and nothing seems to be working. I haven't heard of this problem affecting others. When I launch the stand alone game, I don't seem to have any problems. Anyone have any idea what's going on?

I'm running an i5 core 2.30 GHz with 6 gb of ram and a dedicated NVIDIA graphics card. I've never had any issues before the update, everything ran smoothly minus the occasional lag spike.

You probably need to reinstall the game. Not java.

Tried that...nothing doing. I checked some of the SK forums on steam and this problem has seemed to pop up in the past..with no resolution. A bit disheartening.

Yeah. Running the most recent version of java. It seems to be a steam issue, because it doesn't happen on the stand alone server.

Ya, so it's normal.

It happen's to me to D:<. You'll just have to wait for it to go away =/. Or send the GM's a email about this. They should help. :P

Same Problem

Whenever I try loading Haven on any character, my Spiral Knights client crashes and I get this same error message. I just recently reinstalled the game after not playing for a while. I have tried reinstalling several times, as well as updating java and graphics drivers.
Core i7 3.20ghz
12GB Ram
Radeon HD 6870

when i sign in to SK my thing just exits out ive been doing things but nothings working

Yes, I've got the same problem too.

I have re-installed Spiral Knights 5 times, updated my Java to the latest version, bought a new graphics card, and it continues to crash unexpectedly. Sometimes, my monitor becomes a mass of randomly colored pixels when running Spiral Knights. Other times, my computer simply turns off by itself.
