So as you can see, this is a suggestion thread about item previews. I myself have started it because I want to be able to preview items in haven or in-clockworks view. This is mostly so that I can perfect my costume designs, but also for other aesthetic purposes. If you see any other way to modify item previews positively, post away!

I believe he means previewing them from the regular perspective, such as standing in haven or fighting in the clockworks, not just the inspect screen.

And yeah, I bought a Toasty Stranger Hat during December coz it looked good in the preview, but in game all I see is this ugly lump of red and brown.

I am having difficulty understanding what this thread suggests.
Do you mean previewing equipment you already have in your arsenal while in the Clockworks? Have you tried pressing P?
Do you mean previewing accessories while in the Clockworks? Why would this be logical?
Do you mean previewing equipment you do not have? If you search for the item in the auction you have the option to preview it with the loadout you equipped when you opened the auction menu (changing equipment while this menu is open will not update automatically).
