I'm not sure if this has ever been selected, but perhaps this might lessen the amount of raging by the F2P players?
So, right now while browsing the forums, I've seen plenty of people ready to chuck their computers at OOO. The reason being is that locking UV's when adding new ones gives the P2P people a gigantic advantage in LD against the F2P'ers, for they can get ASI+CTR VH on their weapons and Max resists on their armor. Naturally their fear is that SK is, like in many other games (such as Maplestory) becoming unfairly biased towards the payers. I'm clinging to my hope that OOO is still open and willing to balance PVP in LD so there is less weighted gameplay.
Here's what I suggest (apologies if this has been suggested before, I just think it's nice to have this running around):
Disable UV's in LD.
Granted, this may seem a bit ambiguous and unfair at first, but...please allow me to state my case.
The UV's have been giving rich players a faster and easier way to dispatch others, along with protecting them considerably (There are plenty of Skolvers and Vogs and Snarbies who have max shock on both helm and armor, and they can just pass right through Voltaic Tempests and kill bombers). The poorer players had no choice but to try outrunning the ASI VH FF's and BTB's, which can be quite difficult. If nobody had UV's in LD, then people would have a much more balanced gameplay, for nobody could spam weapon attacks faster than we can move, nor could they just walk across a stormy tempest like it was a rug. Disabling UV's would greatly help for a more skill based (and less money-based) LD.
Now, for those of you who have awesome UV's, you might think I have a deathwish for saying all this. The thing is, you would still have a big advantage of UV's in normal gameplay. I don't think anyone would mind you guys destroying T3 Electric Greavers with your max shock nearly as much, for the same thing could be replicated, though it would be harder. You could use any gear with fire resist UV's in FSC and gain an advantage in those levels. Those of us who don't spend on the game can still survive FSC and beat vana without as many or as potent UV's, though you would get a good advantage in return for the money spent. If you spent money on the game, you should naturally have a right to a facilitated gameplay, but when that facilitation helps you beat us all up in LD, it gets kinda annoying after a while...I'm really worried that the community is gonna go Marxist: a giant rift between the haves and the have-nots will erupt, and the have-nots will revolt and protest, eventually forcing OOO to change their policies and ruin the entire game for the sake of uneven balance. Implementing this idea may help a little.
Again, this is only a suggestion, and I had no intention of offending/annoying/provoking anyone. I just want to see a more community-friendly game for us all.

I would really like a balanced Lockdown, but the problem is the argument between the F2P and P2P communities, which once started, is very hard to conciliate. I'm neutral to this, because even though it would be great for most of the community, it wouldn't be for the P2P, neither for OOO (but of course you already know all of this).
Oh, and I believe Heart Trinkets are the real reason for the unbalance in Lockdown. UVs do help, but if you stack 2 Penta-Heart Pendants you would have around 20 bars of health, which, compared to the general F2P player's health, is a lot.
I could be wrong though, since I don't play much LD.
