A lot of players would like to create appearances based on all three different proto sets. And now with the new color options that have been added to the knight creation matrix, it would be very nice of you to allow us to purchase proto sets with color options. Thank you.

I made a Thread a while back, saying that I wanted a Vender that could Trade in your Proto Gear for another Piece. But I'd rather like Buying them to Maximize Costume Abilities.

WHYYYY would you want proto set.... besides let me inform you that there are 3 styles and this would take out originality since you could have all three styles. On top of that noobs would get confused and buy a armor they already have cuz it looks differenf..

So many costume ideas, not enough armour.

@Kive
For one, if you're a new player you should be seeking to obtain gear that has a higher rating than your current equipment, in this case your starting gear, the proto gear. If you're telling me you seriously cannot take the time to look at the star-rating and defence stats (despite its deceptive nature) then the only justification is your own stupidity.

Actually there are 18 proto

Actually there are 18 proto armours: 3 models in 6 different colours. Either have 18 buyable armours, or be able to buy 3 armours and repaint each/all of them.

A new armour interface.

We trade in our proto armour and instead, we can buy our own proto gear from vatel. He sells all 18 armour sets and gives us 2 accessories which can be applied free of cost! (but its limited to proto only)

@shidara

Totaly get what youre saying but Ive known quite alot of noob friends who get 0* stuff just cuz its different from what they already have. Also answer this question how would you select the 3 different armours and on top of that how would you choose the proto armors personal color ( since proto armor has a different personal color than youre eyes. Either way alot of people seem to think this is a good idea so who am I to spoil the party.

Buy new proto armor.

@Kive, the primary failing i see in the current proto gear set-up is that you are forced to choose your proto gear (and initial color) blindly going into the game, before you have a feel for what you will like best artistically. I chose i spiral something helm (similar to the skelly helm) completely oblivious to the fact that i can't stand the way the back panel looks like on it. I also chose it based on it's eye-slot, not realizing that given the overhead view of the game you can't really see it. Now as a new player, you are excited for your new gear, and it wasn't until much later when i actually had a desire to wear my proto as a costume that i realized my proto-helm sucked stylistically from what my taste in gear appearances has evolved into. These are decisions i made when i had never played the game and was excited to hurry up and get started. Also, given the mismatch color of proto gear and personal color, you were forced to choose a color with no idea how it will interact with the other armors of the game (less of an issue now that we got color change).

Another excellent example, is someone who chooses red Proto armor thinking it is unique. They don't realize their is gonna be ember break and surge breaker armor which is red and similar. On the other hand the yellow proto armor looks far plainer (in many ways) than the red proto armor, yet there are no good gear substitutes for a skinny, yellow, proto style armor.

Hope this sheds some light on why many of us would like to purchase additional proto armor.

It's 21 proto sets, remember

It's 21 proto sets, remember they come in the 7 common color styles -regal, fancy etc - but not volcanic, divine, prismatic or shadow.
Seems odd that you can buy the proto weapons but not the armors.
As for noobs buying 0*, the 'fix' for that is to remove them from the vendors.. if you consider that to be 'broken' in the first place.

Sure would be nice to get that fancy spiral tailed helm someday. And the spiral pith needs proper eye holes now that the new eyes are here

@Golgomath: You always were

@Golgomath: You always were able to since it isn't provided to you for free when you create a new character like the rest of the proto gear is.

@OP: +1, don't see any real problems with this. Let people buy more cheap armor to go broke accessorizing :P

@Three Rings

Even if you don't implement this, could you please change my proto helm to a military Pith helm? Please? I hate my current gear because it's ugly and doesn't match any of my more advanced suits. :D

Thanks,

- Bulby <---------- change this guys helm to a Military Pith! :D
