Computer specs are..

I7 950 overclocked to 3.5 ghz
6gb triple channel memory
Evga gtx560ti superclocked edition main card
Evga gtx260 dedicated physx card
2tb of hdd space
Windows vista 64bit

If more info is needed just ask.

The problem..

While playing spiral knights durring game play only whenever more than 1 monster is killed or a very big slime or a group of zonbies in fsc the game freezes. When I say freezes I mean everything but me. I can still run around and swing my sword and whatever else but nothing around me is happening. Then maybe after a few minutes the game updates and whatever happened while I was frozen happens and then the game conitues on. Sometimes this only happens once in a while but other times it happens 5-9 times durring a fsc run. Also whenever opening lots of treasure boxes the same thing will happen. Sometimes it wont unfreeze and I am forced to ctr alt del and end task. That is usually the fix for whenever it happens just to save time.

Not sure if this is related or not but while watchig how much memory the game is using in task manager it starts at about 125000k and climbs to 650000-700000k and anything in that area is when it freeze but not always. Sometimes it does it when it is low as well.

I'm not sure...

It might be about your internet connection.

What can I do to check and see if it is caused by internet connection? I have a wired connection straight to the router and only one other computer is using the connection sometimes but it happens wether or not the other computer is in use.

I feel like that is it.

I feel like that is it. Whenever it gets up near 680000k it freezes up.

Any fixes for this?

That's not a fix. That is

That's not a fix. That is what I do now about 5 times through a single fsc run. A fix would be something that causes this not to happen anymore. That is what I am looking for.

Greetings,

The memory values you are reporting from the task manager do not indicate a memory leak problem and tend to be fairly ordinary for the game running at high detail levels in boss areas.

It sounds far more like you are encountering disconnects or moments extremely high network latency. Have you tried adding firewall exceptions for Spiral Knights? Details on the port numbers can be found here.

I am still testing. I have

I am still testing. I have been running fsc with my firewall turned off on my computer and so far I have not had any issues like I was getting before. I want to keep trying to rule this as the issue. I do have spiral knights allowed for list of programs on my firewall setting but I am not sure exactly where to go and what else to add to allow my firewall to be active and not have issues running the game. I viewed what you posted on the wiki site but I am still unsure of what to do.

The files you will want to

The files you will want to add are java.exe and javaw.exe. The default location is usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin. The steps needed to add the exception will be dependent on what program you are using for firewall functions.
