Currently, us Knights can acquire Trinkets, but in order to equip them, we are required to purchase Trinket Slot upgrades with our Crystal Energy up to two. I feel that it's a LITTLE bit tight for Knights who want to unlock the two Trinket Slots but don't have enough Crystal Energy to buy the slot upgrades yet. I feel it. So, I have a humble suggestion. My request is that you kindly add in another Trinket Slot, turn the first slot free for all Knights who wish to equip whatever trinket they acquire to occupy the first, free slot, and the next two Trinket Slot upgrades still obtainable by Crystal Energy purchase, just like the slot upgrades we still need to purchase today, thus increasing the Trinket Slot limit total to three. It's not difficult to add in another Trinket Slot upgrade and turn the first slot into a free slot for Knights to equip trinkets, is it? I'll be hoping to see that request included in a future update to the game, if you have the time to do so. Thanks again for listening to our requests, Three Rings!

This has been talked about before, and the result was *shudders* nasty name fight. Anyway, it won't work too well. Being that these are optional items, and they don't even help you progress really. They just give you an extra edge. I think that this is one of the main ways OOO makes money, and giving even 1 free slot would decrease the value of getting more slots, unless that slot was very limited, i.e. could only accept 0 star items. Having 3 slots, though, is a bad, bad idea. Let me put it like this:
Penta-Heart Pendant x 3 = 18 extra points of HP. THIS IS AN INSANE NUMBER TO COME FROM TRINKETS.
The only chance this will be implemented is if you kept the current max(which is 2) and only had the first slot allowing meek trinkets. I understand how you feel. During the beta, I was feeling upset because a trinket I bought couldn't be equipped because I needed CE to unlock the slot I needed. (Of course, then, 100 CE cost about 13k to buy.) I was really, really confused when everyone started putting my thread down.
There is no need for such petty insults.
As for the rest of you, I only requested the FIRST slot to be free ONLY, and the next two STILL purchasable by energy, not all slots to be totally free. This suggestion is NOT going to ruin everything, NOR will encourage players to not pay for energy. I mean, trinkets are optional extras, but the upcoming challenges are willing to be difficult soon, even with only two trinkets currently equipped. There's nothing wrong with getting a little more extra edge for further, tougher challenges, is it? There are various trinkets that offers loads of different bonuses. I only wanted a little something to up my game and keep the upgradable slots for later purchase, not make all slots free.

This is a nerf/more pay to win. No one wants that. We HATE nerfs (game is easy), and there are already too many pay to win opportunities. I don't think you've been around very long, so I'll explain how this is pay-to-win:
The most effective trinkets must be paid for on similar levels to 5* regular equipments. The heart pendant is a variety that offers additional health to the player. Hence, in PvP, the trinket is used a lot, as vitapods are absent and arguably the most effective method of play involves selecting a "class" (don't want to explain this, look up lockdown on the wiki) that offers lower health than any other. Hence, the better-off buy these and equip to give their already-low health a boost. As of now such players are almost un-killable to the newb; it takes around four or five hits. This would extend said health even further. So, no. Said NO! Also, the damage trinkets that are favored in PvE are expensive, as well. This gives the rich another advantage.
I know you have trinkets from the missions and want to use them, but this is a terrible solution (assuming I'm right in guessing who you are as a player). Also, this is how things have been.... since forever. It's OOO's game, let them decide what the mechanics should be. If your trinkets are really so important to you, you can keep one for a month for ~6kcr (conventionally paid in CE) assuming you're buying from a person and not the yayhoos at the supply depot.
... That just scares the hell out of me...

I think I have made my point. Completely innocent ponies. How you could be afraid of them, I can think of no other reason than having one follow you around like a lovesick puppy when you were too young to realize it wasn't trying to eat you.
Secondly, it's a DOCTOR. As we all know, there are some people who have a fear of doctors, which is understandable, as they have certain tools and methods which may seem menacing. However, doctors exist solely for maintaining your health and well being (totally NOT because they want to get paid), so to fear them is to fear for your own healthiness.
Thirdly, the pony is SMILING. Now, unless you come from an alternate universe where smiling is a death threat, I'm pretty sure we all know smiling is a sign of goodwill or happiness. For you to be afraid of a smile...
There you have it. Three perfectly nice and good things, all feared by this one person. And for what? For him to fear these things, he MUST be a person from this 'other-dimension-of-no-smiles.'
If he's not, then he has no legal reason to fear this picture.

Ok, you are incorrect in stating this.
In shorter terms, buying Trinket slots costs CE. By taking away the cost of even ONE trinket, that's a few hundred ce that could've been spent in that month NOT spent.
Most people only want/need 1-2 trinkets to use anyway, bigger spenders will use three of course.
But most people, the people that are still moving through the game an prioritize their spending will probably only ever use the ONE trinket slot.
As it stands currently, if someone needs a Trinket, they're pressured into getting one by their circumstances, and will likewise limit themselves, but still get it.
If this is implemented, they won't NEED to pressure themselves, and just use that trinket. They won't really think of buying ce until MUCH later.
Overall, this causes less people to buy ce (cr or cash, neither matters, because all lead to the same thing) because they already have PART of what they need. Getting the other parts will increase their advantage, yes, but they're less likely to want to do that, for want of doing other things with their cash.

I think it should be 1 free slot, and four total. They could easily implement 2 per of each. only 2 ctr trinkets or 2 asi trinkets or 2 health trinkets. this would disallow some game breaking features, while encouraging trinket purchases (in much the same way the give newbs 2 free accessories to get them interested early in accessories).
or, if worried about game breaking, they could force "4th trinket is a status affect bonus only" so that we could do 2 of any 1 trinket (health, damage, asi, ctr) and one of another (same) and the 4rth as a status bonus.
i feel like it'd encourage CE spending, while not breaking the game. still love the idea. and i think this amendment would keep the game from becoming any more broken while adding more ce sinks.
Anyone who supports this idea does not realize what it is suggesting or is the same selfish fodder; not because I personally dislike it, but because it is entirely selfish and harms everyone except the less experienced community. A third trinket slot would be overpowered. Giving a trinekt slot for free would only hurt Three Rings and regular CE customers while the less wealthy users gain. This concept is selfish because it rewards fodder for doing nothing while making everyone overpowered. Three Rings does not want us to be overpowered. Three Rings would not want this idea because it conflicts with what they want which takes priority. If you want to reply to a post it is mandatory to read the post first.
Luguiri is awfully full of herself. Your analogy made no sense given the context of the discussion. Just because you do not endorse an idea doesn't make it bad. There are lots of different suggestions, and lots of them have merit, wether it fits you 'rubric' or not.

I think Luguiru's opinion does hold weight because they stop and think about posts, hence the usual massive walls of text. Now and then they do get massively condescending but that is usually only after someone posts a few inane posts in a row.
Edit: also they way trinkets are now is that with 6.4kcr you can get 100ce. Giving one day for mist runs to get the crs and two days waiting for mist to fill you can get two trinket slots for the month. Not that expensive or time consuming.

Before I address any of the issues of this thread, there is one thing which absolutely must be acknowledged: never address a thread in this forum to Three Rings. If I were an admin and I had to read through threads, the ones which address Three Rings are almost always someone begging for a feature in the game to be easier. Why? Trinkets are extras, meaning they are not nearly as vital as your helmet or armor. There are only two trinket slots for balancing reasons. There is no reason there should be three, and especially no reason for any trinket/weapon slot to be available for free. You are asking for a feature which requires CE to no longer require CE, catering to players who do not purchase CE from Three Rings or other players. By not purchasing CE from Three Rings you are asking for them to stop profiting from an existing feature. By not buying from other players you are expecting rewards for doing nothing. This is one of the most selfish threads I have ever had the displeasure of reading. I will not grade it because of how horribly selfish this is. If I met you in person I would find a white rubber glove and slap you across the face with it.
