Im starting this thread to accomplish 2 goals. First, in my time playing spiral knights, Ive come up with a few ideas that I would really like to see in the game. I am only using these as a starting point for this thread, and to mainly accomplish the second and most important goal. The forums seem to get cluttered with a wide range of ideas, some of them major changes such as game mechanics, some much smaller such as item balancing. This Thread is being created as a place to advertise NEW CONTENT IDEAS ONLY.
What I am mainly looking for in this area is:
-new promo/non-promo gear and accessory ideas
-new level and monster ideas
-any other non-balance, non-mechanic changing ideas
-something you could easily see released in the near future
What i do not want:
-new boss ideas (that is something that everybody has and would require its own thread)
-nothing too radical (looking for near future content ideas, not revolutionary game changes)
To start off, A very simple idea that i believe would be met with open arms.
Rare Personal Colors
The idea is to have usable personal color changes, similar to the type you find at vatel. These Would be rare items found only by unlocking mirrored lockboxes. A few examples ( ash, shadow, cream ) mostly these colors would be made to complement the less common color schemes in circulation right now. This would also bring some popularity to the mirrored lockbox, which has not been recieved very well by the community thus far.

A real Guantlet!
provided, the guantlet mission released was a bit of a challenge, and definitly stepped up the non-shadow-lair difficulty a bit. But I think if youre going to do it, do it right. I imagine a single room, similar to an arena room. instead of defeating 5 or 6 waves and moving on to another room, this room will have unlimited length, and unlimited difficulty. There will be no CE revives, but instead a unique droppable belt item that you can use to revive yourself. As the battle goes on, the waves become more and more difficult. once all 4 party memebers are down and no revive capsules remain, the battle is over. The score would be recorded by how many enemies were killed, and the profits would completely depends upon how far you went. The enterance would be similar to a lockdown match, as this event would be hosted by king krogmo himself. The enterance fee would be a bit more than lockdown, but the play time and reward would have much greater potential. I think this would bring a great PvE competetice aspect to the game, since as of now the best we have is who can post the best solo run video on youtube. This would lean toward the more high risk / high reward type of gameplay i would like to see.

Armor that gives an increased status effect chance!
As of now a few "unique" armor types offer things such as movement speed bonus, but i want to see more of this. It seems any armor that doesnt offer some kind of bonus to a character becomes fairly useless in the grand scheme of spiral knights. Having a unique status effect chance increase, or status effect power increase would add a new supportive roll to certain knights who focus on the (now nearly useless) less damaging status effect weapons. Having a bonus like this would let a teammate in lockdown be able to actually stun with thier rigadoon, setting the team up for a quick kill. There has been near endless talk about buffing these weapons, saying they do too little damage and the status just isnt worth the cut. I feel a change like this would balance these lesser weapons without having to even touch them.
These are all ideas that I have put a lot of thought into, and i would love some feedback as well as to hear what everybody else is thinking. My hope is in having a thread with only near future content ideas, we can have a place to focus on getting things done instead of sifting through a sea of endless balancing ideas.
