I'm sure anyone who frequents runs like I do, be it missions, JK, Shadow Lair, or otherwise, knows where I'm going with this - You join a party, and it just so happens that the only person who AFKs in the middle of the stage is the party leader. You don't want to go back to Haven and waste your spent CE, but you can't kick them either (or insult them at risk of being kicked yourself).

"So don't join parties randomly", you might say - not everyone has the time to build up a friend list though! Some people may only have 30 minutes a day to play, and that time matters to them. How many times have YOU sent out invites to your Friend List and had only 1-2 people reply at all?

Going solo doesn't work now that it Restricts the party, so that's not an option either. Plus, even if it still was, reinviting people gets tedious/annoying, right?

So, I think it would be a great idea for there to be an option to change who has Party Leader status. At least then if someone has to go away unexpectedly, the current leader can inform them (or at least switch over who has control if he has to go for longer than expected). Alternatively, you could allow a party member to request a "Party Leader Change", and the existing members vote on it under a time window; if the majority (3 people in case of 4, 2 in case of 3, etc) vote Yes, then the leadership is automatically assigned to a random new member.

It's a good idea but...

What about the other lowly low-connection other-side-of-the-world people?

"Then get a better connection/computer/whatever."

They're on the other side, They are far from the server derp...

Actually this is the main reason I prefer solo, So I cannot interfere people's precious time by waiting for me...

But it could be just me.

While you make a point about

While you make a point about people on the other side of the world, the game DOES have measures against low/bad connections - if a person disconnects or otherwise is not responding the "Unplugged" icon shows up and the server treats them as nonexistent - meaning you can activate a Party button without requiring them to be on it.

This is in regards to people like in the OP post image, who are not bad in connection but simply unresponsive.

It's sheer speculation, Paweu - I haven't done any Shadow Lair runs yet, but I'm willing to bet that that would make it even worse if your leader were to AFK for whatever reason.

Shadow party kick is not an option, it could lead to extreme abuses. Also at point where you go to shadow lair 15 minutes of waiting should be nothing for you and also SL partyies should not really be random parties.

Also votekicking / vote changing leader was suggested may times. Im sure devs have saw those suggestions and there is question now if they are not implementing this because they think its bad for us, or because they want us to get stuck in lvls because of reckless leaders so players ragequit lvl and spend CE again on elevator to get again to a place they left.

We should completely ignore that sometimes people won't have friends they play with online at the moment but can't wait until it's more convenient for said friends, or that some people may not be allowed to spend money on a F2P game, and just tell them to deal with AFK people.

instead of changing a party leader, there should be an option so when players choose to go solo, they could invite the existing party to go with them without spending any energy. cause going solo already separates what crowns and heat you have already gained from the dungeon, so there should be a way for players to abuse it.

- if you had x,y,z in a party. x is the party leader and he goes and take a nap without informing u guys, you can just click the go solo button, then before accepting to go solo, an option comes up asking you if you want to invite y, and z. this way you none of them wont have to spend energy to come back together in a dungeon again.

hate when that happens or when i do that to my own team mates! (happened twice, felt like a d***)
so yea i support this idea.
of course, team leaders who AFK really dont warn the team so i guess if x is the team leader, y and z can both click on x's name and click KICK.

p.s. regarding that screenshot, next time you can scream, "WAKE UP BRO!" through Steam voice chat 8D
