I have a basic question to ask the experts. When crafting a weapon and I obtain 2 unique variants at the same time, if I want to upgrade it and I tick the boxs that says to continue having the variants, will those variants be carried on and i have a chance of obtaining a third?
Please don't send me the wiki page, it's kinda useless.
Thanks

Nope, ticking the box means

Nope, ticking the box means you can not get any new UV's.

see wiki page "Punch"

You might have been talking about the wiki page "Unique variant", which doesn't explain this very well, I agree. But it is explained at the wiki page "Punch" pretty well.

If you tick the box that says "continue having the variants", it means you're telling the craft machine "Don't you touch my UV's!" so you don't lose them but you can't get any additional UVs.

If you don't tick it, it means you're saying "These UVs stink!" or "I wanna gamble!" so you lose them and them get another spin on the UV roulette. That way, you could get a chance to have three UVs wherein two of them may or may not be similar to the original UVs. Or you could get a single random UV or nothing at all. Just a plain weapon.

Now that you guys mention it, after punch's update, shouldnt we have a chance to get new variants when upgrading?
It's no big deal, if you have an UVd 2* item, you'll only have 3 more opportunities at 3*-4*-5*

Ooh, I like that idea

Ooh, I like that idea Juances. Punch is a certified UV Smith, though, so I'm not sure about the in-game logic of it.

that said OH do I want that to exist.
