I have a new idea for weapons in the game. 1 family is Swords, the other is Guns.

Type of Weapon - Sword, Gun
Attacks - Elemental

Family 1 - Sword Series
Design: The sword has a handle, round like many. The hilt looks like the symbol for the Crystal Energy bar (the circle with the big Minus sign). A long section goes up from the hilt, made out of metal, and the blade is made out of pure energy.
Nanoblade - 1 star
Reinforced Nanoblade - 2 stars
Obsidian Nanoblade - 3 stars
Tactical Nanoblade - 4 stars
Arcane Nanoblade - 5 stars
Basic attack: 3-4 slashes forward.
Charge attack: Lunge forward and slice 3 times.

Family 2 - Gun Series
Design: A blaster with 5 barrels on it. The side of it has the Crystal Energy symbol with an N enscribed next to it. The N glows a bit.
Nanopiercer - 1 star
Glowing Nanopiercer - 2 stars
Chaotic Nanopiercer - 3 stars
Champion Nanopiercer - 4 stars
Assault Nanopiercer - 5 stars
Basic attack: Shoots 15 rounds in a straight fashion. Fast speed, like the Autogun, but each bullet is weak. (That would make the difference of landing all rounds on an enemy)
Charge attack: The user spins in a circle, sending a bullet in all 9 directions. (N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW) Each bullet does 2x as much damage as a basic attack.

Where to get it: The recipe could be bought from Sullivan, the krogmo coin store guy, in the Arcade. The 1 star recipes would be 30 KCs (Krogmo Coins). 2 stars would be 60 KCs, 3 stars are 90 KCs, 120 KCs for 4 star and 150 KCs for 5 stars.

Not sure what the recipes would be. But I know two components could be Light Shards and Static Clinger. For the gun, the main component would be Blast Powder, and the sword main component Gremlin Gizmo.

But mechanics

Why use these odd mechanics instead of existing ones? why not simply keep the gun using normal autogun mechanics? and what good would that charge do? the only thing able to make good use of a spread like that would be a bomb simply because it can go off inside the enemy and land multiple hits.

Not really going to comment on the sword being a regular medium sword with a regular combo as charge.

@Lunaecho

Using the same Autogun mechanics means it would just be an Autogun clone, and more people would dislike it then.
