OKAY. SO THREE RINGS IS BEING REALLY EVIL RIGHT NOW.
Obviously they're giving everybody the two-day ele pass to raise the amount
of crows in circulation. This will raise the price of CE, and force more F2P
people to buy it. Man I bet you guys don't care about your fan base. You
hate us all, but want our money.

There. The mandatory paranoia-ridden negative thread about an action of OOO has been posted.
EDIT: Just would like to say that again, I don't mean it, but someone else would have posted this.
I think this game is great. If I feel like I'm getting too familiar with it, I switch games for a bit and come back
on after some time, ready to take on RJ or Vana again.

My suspicion:

You are not ENTIRELY wrong.

OOO needed to do something to combat D3, so they make the announcement about all the great new things coming up. "hiya guys, stick around, we gOt some sick stuff coming up. ALL FOR YOU."

Okay, we got your attention a bit, but future promises, lemme give you a bit more. Fear not about ce, just play for free, it's all on us, have as many rounds as you want. You don't have to go home but you CAN stay here.

[yes meanwhile high ce prices go even higher, setting up an epic ce package of some sort.]

Then come about wednesday next week they drop the massive new content they've been planning in accordance with some super CE deal.--that wil involve random guild accessories giveaways, and then to hope we spend that purchased ce back into buying other guild improvements---quite possibly crown only purchasable on AH, further bringing CE back into check.

(potentially, we get just the CE package next week and our new content following week.)

Well I'm both hopeful and doubtful that the next update will be epic. It sorta sounds as though they are slightly twisting the way we play current content, rather than giving us new. Personally, I'll save my money in real life as I've Got enough in game, and I'll save in-game crowns, as I've never cared nor pined after guild upgrades. And if it's not new content, but just a new synergistic way to kill vanaduke yet again....I'll pass on consuming that too.

I don't mean that nearly as negatively as it sounds. If all my suspicions prove true, I'll consider this an amazing update and a fantastic steering of the games direction. Even though these are not aspecs that ever particularely appealed to me, I'm not blind to the need to encourage more teamwork and coop in game. Nor have I ignored how many amongst us wish for guild guild guild options. So I a ecstatic they are finally answering those calls.

Then they are addressing the never ending demand for some sort of lockdown updates. Hopefully thirducially they will get to the long requested new in-game content, i.e. T4 or the core.

Humble thoughts :)
