Other colors?
Why does it only have to be a Greenward. Why not a Blueward and Redward :D. Why not all other colors like purple, orange, yellow etc

This shield needs to be the newest item in the game and must have at least 7 stars to its name and only obtainable when you forge the soul of all the boses 6 times in the core I didn't take this from my fanfiction I swear.
I'm happy with Green. Favorite color master race. There's enough Blue and Red items in the game as is.

To be honest, I can safely say that I think this would be a good idea, but I also would like to say that in my opinion, despite liking your idea, that sheild disguises, having already costumes for helms and armour, would be a bit too much.

I don't ALWAYS disagree with posts.
I'll have you know that I used to support the whole shield costume idea the FIRST time it was ever suggested. Like, FIRST TIME, not a second thread on the same topic, although I DID support those too before I realized we weren't supposed to make threads on the same idea.
I felt no need to post in this thread yet. S'why I haven't posted until now.
EDIT: Unless you're talking about the whole 'Power Ranger shield' thing, in which I already know Lug and the others were joking. Although I honestly can't tell if Bland was supporting that idea or going with the joke. I decided to leave that until I actually KNEW he was joking or not or he'd probably rage at me for 'picking on him like a cyberbully' or something.

I think the reason we can't use costumes on shields is because they're active equipment, not passive (unlike armor, which can be costumed because people technically aren't using it).

Not true
All shields have the same 'use' animation, so it's not like they're personalized. Regarding the animation of the shield's APPEARANCE, well, Ashtail has one too.
Weapons on the other hand, have their own animations. Swinging a Leviathan at the speed of a Striker with ASI high and a Swiftrike would just be ridiculous, so weapon costumes may not exist.
However, shields all essentially do the same thing.

Shields go on the left hand side of the player inspection screen, where armor/helms/costumes (passive) also go. Despite the fact that they're used in combat, I also consider them to be passive for the most part.

Actually, I probably wasn't joking. I've yet to start working on a Megazward model, but it's somewhere in the list of things I'd like to make in Spiral-Spy. The concept itself is a joke, though.

This has been suggested before. I have no problem with it being suggested again.
A shield costume would further improve customization- and you can display your Darkfang Shield while using your Swifty, BTS, or Grey Owlite, very nice!
Of course it would turn off in LD, because costumes are disabled and the shields are specialty shields anyway.
