Hey everyone thanks in advance for any advice you can offer, here's the details:

**Update** - I can now play the game via the adaption posted below, however I still have a problem with backgrounds being solid white and loading screens being almost completely white. Can anyone offer some advice?

Original Post(BlackScreen Issue):

When I click play now, whether the game is installed on my desktop or through the browser, I immediately get an off color log-in screen(grayish) then the window goes completely black but I can still hear the music. Oddly enough my computer changes its color scheme to basic automatically right before the game is launched. I have tried changing the registry to the suggested settings, reinstalling, updating graphics card, updating java, and updating other drivers.

Computer Spec:

OS: Windows 7 Professional 32-bit
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU P7570 @ 2.26GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.3GHz
Memory: 4096MB RAM
Page file: 1654MB used, 7520 available
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
Chip Type: Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family
Approx Total Memory: 1324MB
Current Display Mode: 1440x900(32bit)(60Hz)

Your display mode isn't supported.
Change it to 1024x600

Hey Rangerwill thanks for the response. I tried changing my display mode to 1024 x 600 but the closest resolution I can do on my laptop is 1024 x 768. Shouldn't the registry key change this setting for me when java launches? Under registry I have display mode set to 1024,600,0,0

Update: After playing with

Update: After playing with the settings for what seemed like an hour there seems to be only one thing that will beat my blackscreen issue. First I had to go in regedit and turn anonymous_login to false. This allowed the login screen to actually load and allow me to enter my username and password. Even then I still got a blackscreen after logging in. It turns out I had to switch the display settings on the options tab in the main login menu, oddly enough it didn't matter what I switched the setting to as long as I physically changed it. Then by logging in my characters would show up and I could play the game. I still have a white background issue, where alot of backgrounds (e.g. behind your characters or any load screen) are just white. It doesn't bother me too much but I would be interested to know a fix.

Thanks!

The reason why it didnt work is because you should have put 1024,600,32,60. The 32 is the palette of colors to use and 60 is the refreash rate of your screen so both of them should never be 0.

I had previously tried

I had previously tried changing the registry values to 32,60 instead of 0,0 but the change didn't seem to affect the blackscreen issue. Could there be some underlying error that requires me to switch the display settings prior to each login? It isn't that big of an inconvenience, but anyway I would like some help with the white loading screen/ white background issue I'm having if you could shed some light on that.

Thanks

Perhaps it is one of the other keys indicated in part 5:
