i got to play the game the first time but now it just gets stuck at 0%. Please help me. I really love the game

Similar problem
I'm getting a similar problem. I use steam's version, so the mechanics may be a lot different. however, I'd appreciate any help with this. I am able to start up the game using the standalone client but not steam's. I see the window that says "Preparing to launch Spiral Knights" and then it flickers the window for a split second and it crashes and closes itself instantly. I have tried updating java and I have reinstalling the local game files, but the problem remains.

This appears to be a random Steam issue. It can usually be resolved by restarting the Steam client or restarting the computer.
Please try uninstalling and then reinstalling Spiral Knights. You will not loose any game progress by doing this.
