I don't get the lore. So... Gremlins in Emberlight are the outcasts of the Crimson Order?

In other words, like 2 gremlins and a few worker gremlins are the only outcasts of the Crimson Order?

Emberlight is a great hangout spot since Haven is too bright and annoying.

However, there aren't nearly enough gremlins there.

What is this

Even after reading broken English suggestions in the English forum by non-English users who should not be in this forum I have difficulty interpreting what you are suggesting. Do you want there to be more of them running around?

Haven is supposed to be bright, happy, and smiling until its jaw snaps in thirds from mindless silliness. The training hall often makes a decent place to sit around and throw fire at each other.

I do not understand how you

I do not understand how you believe I am a non-English user.

Are you new here? I swear, this isn't the first time I have ever posted in 11 months.

Also, please explain which parts need translated for you.

"More Gremlins." Is that hard to understand if I am not mentioning wether or not they are running around or standing in place?

Outcast?

That was harsh, why can't I make suggestions here? : (

On the other hand, rawrcake is right, those "outcasts" seem to be like... 10 max? xD I can understand Moorcroft being so "empty" but Emberlight? Also, if Vyse and Punch come from there, are there other Gremlins hiding under the structure or what?

Maybe inserting more NPC in there wouldn't be needed, but changing the background may be enough.

I referred to how non-English users come here and pretend to give a coherent response, though normally their proposal is clear; your proposal seems to be to throw more gremlins in an area with little reason other than it would make a gremlin outcast society more relevant to lore.

Am I new here? Does Geico not use the same gimmick all the time?

I agree the lore is somewhat bland, but what can we expect? We were on a spaceship in space, Skylark, it crashed, we all rolled around until we met up in Haven, we murder native wildlife instead of asking for help to repair our ship; little can be done. Emberlight inhabitants could help repair the ship, but that would mean coming out of their own hiding bunker to help alien robots from space with their spaceship to go back to space and to space-esque things. Space.

Personally, I'd like to see Moorcroft Manor and Emberlight livened up a bit myself. Maybe if there were more NPCs to interact with (with certain little side-missions like 'go to X depth and do Y before the gate swaps out') as opposed to random wandering things every which way, it'd be more appealing.

Or, well, this is just speculation, but what if they were all modified to be hub-levels like Haven? As in, tier 1 players would automatically start at Haven, tier 2 would start at Moorcroft, and tier 3 would start at Emberlight, each with their own auction houses and NPCs to talk with, and their own area-themed Bazaar, Arcade, and Training Hall? Of course, you could change whatever area you log in at from the Options menu or something, I don't know.

Sure, it'd be a ton of work, but I'd love to see it happen. It'd make it easier to find players suitable for the run you're going for, isolate the T1 beggars, and make each town feel more like a town instead of Haven being the only place in the game that has out-of-combat players...

I should probably make a whole topic on something like this shouldn't I? /derp

Scavenger hunting

In the beginning of the tier, the floor before starting (before T1 there is a small waiting room, before T2 there is Moorcraft Manor, before T3 there is Emberlight) it would be a creative change to have someone there assign the party to find something and deliver it to the following waiting room (it appears randomly between the floor it is on and the next waiting room floor; for T3 the next waiting room floor is at the core of the planet). To prevent join-farming the party would be locked on the floor which the tasked item is located, though this would cause whining on behalf of users who want to be able to farm with minimal effort.

There is one major issue with having an effective town in each tier break room: everyone will be able to use their weapons. Imagine if everyone decided to spam Nitronome/Big Angry/Pulsar everywhere. Derp.

Derp indeed

Having a level shortly after the towns would be best, I agree.

Well, I was thinking of 'hub-level mechanics' as in 'no weapon usage' like in Haven. Do I consistently forget to include crucial things in my ideas? I do. /sad

I could agree with a more populated Emberlight. But Moorcroft can be left alone, considering its spookiness.

I could have sworn that all the feeking strangers have said that the Gremlins were a hostile race.

They also run the auction house, the market areas, and hide from enemies in the Clockworks while we do all the work.

1) Find newcomers.
2) Tell them the other sentient race (the only people that might be able to help them) on the planet is hostile.
3) Sell them the things they need to fight them.

SUNSHAAAAAAAAARDS

All joking aside, the Gremlins are working with the Devilites (evil) and the Swarm (evil). And I thought they attacked us first.

But yes, maybe there could be more Gremlins in Emberlight. Although we don't see the Emberlight Adoption Agency, which is obviously in Emberlight in some un-reachable location... so there's more than 10 gremlins there. Maybe some more for lore purposes would be welcome.
