invalid path?

Whenever i try to play spiral knights, i get an error message saying "the application has failed to launch due to the following error: Invalid path 'getdown.txt'" can someone help me to fix this?

The usually the easiest way to resolve this problem is to re-install Spiral Knights. You will not loose any game progress by doing this.

  1. In the Steam Library, right click Spiral Knights and choose "Delete local content..."
  2. Navigate to where the Spiral Knights installation was (usually C:/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/spiral knights/)
  3. Delete any leftover files in this folder
  4. Re-install Spiral Knights on Steam normally
