Changes to revival mechanics

Two proposals to change reviving others

1) Have the person who dies lose 30% of the crowns they have so far gained on that floor, and it goes to whoever revives them, same as what happens to heat. This increases the cost of death, so should prevent deaths, and anyone who is in an awful party will at least get crowns, as opposed to just heat, which they may not need.

2) Have the OPTION to revive someone by transferring a pip of health, or maybe a custom amount. Obviously this would probably be difficult to do on the fly, and would probably need to be done in settings. This should prevent players who find themselves as team medics from putting themselves in too much jeopardy.

Or I could grow enough backbone to not revive people who are a liability >_<

*sigh*

1) In no possible imaginable way is this something that shall ever be thought of.
2) Yes.

@Zolota

a simple no will be enough

1) nope

2) maybe

PS: Zolota you just broke the ToS.

From the ToS: Use foul, abusive, or offensive language. If a swear word is filtered in-game in Spiral Knights, do not use it on the Spiral Knights forums.

Hurr

In response to the response to the response by Zolota, "a simple no" is not nearly enough for the first point in the original post. It should be edited out of the original post because the very thought does not deserve to exist.

In response to the second proposal in the original post, whether this should be considered would be determined by how the option would be available. If they change the command to revive someone to a currently unused button instead of throwing everything on attack then it would allow users to attack while standing over someone dead, though I question how often this scenario occurs; chances are you are not reviving them because there is a personal issue, in which case I question why you two are in the same party to begin with.

In response to disobeying forum rules, yes; though Zolota will most likely edit it out soon or an administrator will.

Both ideas combined end up with trolls sitting in a corner waiting you to die, then giving 0.00001% of life in exchage of your money.

I'd rather keep palying solo with that.

Elaborate

Apologies, but I fail to see the problem with the first point, the only one who has given criticism of it is Juances, however in response it could be adjustable, the more health you give them the more stuff you get.

To clarify, it's the money you have made so far on the floor, not your total crowns.

No

Get rid of it.

If it has to be explained your presence is invalid.

hmm

we go to the clock works to make crowns, if we were to lose that in death, i think that would break the game or make a lot of players mad when someone accidentally explodes a bomb cube ending in a players death.

:/

1. I dont think this would ever be a good idea :/ it just seems ridiculous and taking things to a whole nother level
2. I think this would be a difficult one to implement. The system we have now is just so simple. imagine of how much work it must be for the devs. and anyway, luguiru does have a point, if you're not willing to give up half your health to revive a downed party member, then why are you playing with them in the first place?
