People think that the almirian crusader armor fits knights because they were once almirians.
One popular theory is that after Almire was destroyed they left in the Skylark and became the Knights.
And while snooping around in spiral spy may support theories, I can't say no more, because of Eury's policy and the OOO laws.

Well, old Almirian Ghost looks a lot like a Knight.
Oh, so how does the snarbolax armor fit then? Are the knights evolved Snarbolaxes? :P
You'd think that if Knights and Almirians were related, the characters would know about FSC instead of wondering about its origins.
I'm talking about the ghost at the end of 9-2 Alone in the Dark. I'm aware or the forum rules, Soarel.
Also, It was even hinted via vana's eyes.
I'm guessing trojans, knights and almirians are in the same genus, but were living in different planets(Hey, could happen!).
I'm going by the theory that SK's and Almirians shared a very similar physiology allowing for the almirian armors to be a near-perfect fit.

The almrian ghost is in an officially released image so I don't see what the problem is.

I think, that Almirian used to be an old kingdom, and ancient forgotten and mythical civilization from Isora. But knowing that the Clockworks are parts of planets strapped together with machinery, the gremlins might have taken a few Almirian samples and placed it in the clockworks too.

Almirian Ghost is like 3 months old and was (probably) created for missions.
We could be a similar species but not directly related. Or that ghost only took a 'friendly' form so we didnt get scared.
The possibilities and arguments are endless.
We simply cant really guess wuthout oficial help.

I think that Almire might be a colony from "Isora" in the planet where Almire was located, and that the other 2 tribes actually were the native ones. Why one tribe would be "highly organized" while the other 2 not? Our "lore" is from the "Spiral Knights point of view and knowledge" mostly, it could be "data" made by ourselves in our own version to glorify Almire. After all, the other 2 tribes attacked in fear of Almire's superior army and a possible invasion from their part.
I always wondered, if the Lore section on the http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Firestorm_Citadel is official version. If it is, then we in no way can be their relatives (well, not too certain about that)
Maybe certain "Goldilock Planets" had the Knight/Almarian/Ur's(?) Genus so they looked similar, but were created on different planets.

im tell ya my friend, Spiral Knights are people From almire from a alternate dimension that escape before Almire destruction in awesome Chromalisk spaceship with lazars. and they forgot about their Past. and now from reasons unknow from the fate when they were traveling in the space years ago after almire destruction their new awesome and advance spaceship Skylark got stuck in an awesome space Worm tunnel with groovy colors transporting them to our dimesion in Spiral Knight were almire is destroyed and those werent able to escape like we did in our alternate dimension...
