Maybe just push them away. A small tweak to try to recover some difficulty in the game.
Trojans shall no longer damage other enemies
Go to d25 of FSC and stand in front of a barrier in any of the rooms with them.
Lumbers are the ones that seem to only knockback.
Lumber can inflict Stun to enemy. So that mean it can damage enemy too.
Normally when an enemy is damaged they flash red on every hit. When another enemy, Lumber/Trojan in our case, hits them I have yet to notice any red flash following. It could be that I am going blind in which case I would probably become Daredevil but without the tights.
When I'm really hurting, I can clear rooms in FSC by standing behind the Mist Gate and patiently waiting for the Trojan to kill enemies with its Attack Boost and Slash. They do damage enemies, and I think it'd be more of a challenge if they couldn't.
I enjoy when I outsmart those horsehead brutes and make them smash other enemies, I find it "fun" and a great feature. I am ok with traps not aflicting enemies, but Trojans are brute enemies without real sense.... so it fits them and, again, it is fun. Sorry Juances, even if it would make the game "harder" it wouldn't make it more "fun".
Luguiru, regardless of the flash appearing or not, Trojans definitely deal damage to enemies. I've had plenty of times in the bottom-far-left room of D25 FSC where the Trojan killed a Silkwing.
I know they can kill them, but the red flash proves damage has been dealt unquestionably. It is possible that the flash only shows for the faction which hit the target. Or that I am, as previously stated, becoming Daredevil.
Regardless of tight related shenanigans, yes; remove the friendly fire damage effects from Lumbers and Trojans. They can still propel other enemies to you, but damaging them allows for friendly fire maneuvers.
If stun were fixed their friendly fire would be redundant.
D: I enjoy watching Trojans slam each other in the back and watching which one dies first.
Would trojans still be able to break blocks? One of the rooms in the Charred Court (the one with a gate at the end of fire traps) is built around trojans being able to break stone blocks.
Well anyway, I don't think removing friendly fire from trojans would do much for their difficulty besides eliminating exploits involving them (though that might be enough to justify the change). As long as you can kill trojans with a single Blitz Needle (or even Strike Needle) charge, they won't normally get a chance to hit enemies and not damage them.
Its quite exploitable as it is now, you can hide behind barrier and watch trojan smashing all enemies around. Leaving "push only" would be fair
Also there is that BLITZ bug that allows you to shoot enemies from behind a barrier...
I'd rather not, this is an element of skill that I like; I often use the hit on monsters, and it works well. If we're gonna complain about the force field thing, they should just fix monsters so that they don't try and attack people through walls. And that blitz thing needs to get fixed.
Hmmm... do they actually damage? I've just seen the knockback.
