Even if my first name was actually available for usage, I wouldn't name my knight that since I like to keep RL and internet names (and sometimes lives) separate from each other (as well as a whole slew of other reasons).

Given that though, my username is roughly based off my name, so best of both worlds, perhaps.

I use my first name when I can. But I rarely can because two letters is rarely enough for any system. It sure gets tiring to be told your name is invalid all the time. My nickname of four letters is almost always taken because of its popularity (due to a game). So when I get it, people assume that I am a fan and don't seem to realize that my name IS my name lol. When I started this game, my old default handle when I couldn't or didn't want to use my name was also taken. /shrug

Also I have been using the name oolon, on the net and IRL for about 20 years now, more people know me by that than my given name too, particularly as some of my family use my first and others use my second given name, I kind of feel oolon is my true name.
