I'm able to log in and kind of move around but screen doesn't want to update some of the times. for example, animations are smooth and I can move around for a few seconds, but then the game doesn't update and the screen freezes, buttons aren't highlighted when mousing over them(mouse still works). like it's running fine for 1 second and then it freezes for the next second.
In full screen mode these freeze moments are less pronounced, but in windowed mode, which I prefer, it's unplayable.

Do you happen to be using a Catalyst driver from Spring 2011? (11.3 to 11.6) If so please update that driver since it is known to cause hiccup-type issues with Spiral Knights while running on ATI cards.
If that is not the case please submit a bug report after you experience one of these moments so I can have a look.
