I was scolded the other day in LD by someone saying that toothpick spamming is nooby and takes no skill to use, Then I tried shield canceling and someone told me that fighing like that is "old school" and no one uses it anymore...
Who should I beileve?

I had the same problem with pooping.
Pooping on the carpet is nooby and takes no skill.
Pooping outside is too oldschool and nobody does it anymore.

Whoever told you that this is 'old school' and nobody uses it anymore is an uber-noob with no Lockdown experience whatsoever. You should thank the person who told you to shield cancel. It saved you from a lot of hate. 3-hits are fine if used without AA. It takes actual skill/ability to aim to do that.
even tho i hate toothpickers i have to agree it takes skill especially if you dont AA
