How good is it to have Stun Resistance on a Divine Veil, as I just rolled a Stun Max. It seems useful for Vana, but is it useful?

Vanaduke deals a lot of normal

Vanaduke deals a lot of normal damage, I think. That disqualifies Divine Veil. Not that it's not nice elsewhere...

I didn't necessarily mean for Vana himself, I should've clarified for FSC. Anyways, I was just wondering if it's useful.

trojans deal stun

Trojans deal stun, so it might help. But if it's Low, then it won't help much. Actually, if it's less than Maximum!, then it's probably not worth talking about.

Moo~~

Heres the thing. Stun is mostly inflicted by Lumbers, Trojans, Vana, Gremlin Thwackers and Dust Zombies breath. Lumbers and Trojans shouldnt be hitting you. Vana deals pure normal, like Bopp said, so Divine Veil doesnt help much either. Your encounter with Dust Zombies should be minimal, and being stunned doesnt really matter there. Gremlins........well......it MAY help there, since I heard they are changed to half elemental, though im not sure if thwackers apply.

Overall, useless.

The danger mission has a ton of stun in it, and has shadow damage. I would keep it for that.

I hate the whole "Theoretically you should never be hit by X monster type, so you don't need armor against it"

Theoretically, you shouldn't be getting hit, PERIOD, so might as well just run around in proto. You wear armor so you don't get screwed over when you make a mistake, not because you never make mistakes.

Also, I love stun resist, and would love a Stun Resist UV on all my armor :3

Goodness gracious...

Thank you Traevelliath, I was thinking the same thing.

@Alynn: Not everyone is able to avoid injury, as you are, and yes, we do get hit by lumbers from time to time. It would be more helpful if you actually... helped?

@Pokenuevo : I like stun resist on my armor. For some reason I seem to make mistakes that land lumber clubs in my face. With the stun resist, the stun doesn't last quite as long. I would say it sounds useful.

Its decent for lockdown, as it would protect you from alchemers and GF/DA, and could be paired with ancient armor to make a nifty striker set that could go through stagger storm.

I've never been one to use my Divine Veil for Lockdown, but I'll try it. Thanks Fehzor!

Anyways, I might pair it with a plate armor or something similar!

@Gingermace

By that logic you could say, "You can get spoilers in so-and-so, therefore everyone should know Snape kills Dumbledore!"
It's unreleased, people don't want specifics on future content, don't post spoilers.

@OP Trojans do a pretty large chunk of normal, so even with a weaker stun, you wont be able to eat many more hits anyway. And don't use Divine in LD, you protect nothing against toothpicks, normal damage, and you still eat a massive chunk (read as ~3/4) of GF and DA. Really, it's just asking for trouble IMO. I have yet to see any particular reason to ever use it other than maybe weakening a hammer blow. I love facing people in Divine as they are some of the rare people who I can use my Valiance against with full power.

Divine in lockdown?

Well it does have Shock Resist. I see it a lot with a Shock Resistance High UV to give the user VT immunity with one piece of equip

@Traevelliath

You will certainly see toothpicks and GF more often than Voltaic. Maybe you'll see more Voltaic than normal weapons, but the risks far outweigh the rewards.

I'm too cheap to get

I'm too cheap to get specialized armor for every situation. Instead, I use the hybrid divine/ash tail set (or snarbolax) combo, which gives some protection against almost every damage type and status effect. The fiend + sword bonus also makes me very dangerous against the very monster type that gives me the most trouble.

Throw on a medium (not high) shock UV, and the divine veil also provides total immunity to the voltaic tempest. Using hybrid sets- and carefully chosen UVs- can help to overcome the weaknesses of one item.

@Pauling I've tried to put my Valkyrie armor and Divine Veil together as a Lockdown class. Granted, the armor has Shadow Max, and the helm has Stun Max and Fire Medium, it's been useful even if I'm just coming back to LD. I haven't had much time to sample, but my 2 biggest enemies, GF/DA and the Stagger Storm now give me little trouble. Toothpicks are quite easy to dodge anyways.
