Heat tanks to store heat for later use

Background
For experienced players, heating new gear can be tiresome. For example, if somebody buys new gear for Lockdown, (s)he has to run through FSC numerous times to fully level it, or ask people to donate heat by intentionally killing themselves on certain levels. It doesn't matter if the person has previously run through the clockworks 10000 times in fully heated gear, (s)he still has to run through levels again to make some new gear Level 10.

Solution: Heat Tank
Heat tanks would allow the user to store heat from previous runs and apply it to a weapon or piece of armor in the future. They would be useful to players who have fully heated gear, because the tanks would store heat that would otherwise be wasted.

Heat tanks would be purchasable from Kozma using CE. They would have a limited capacity, so each tank would only raise gear by a few levels. However, a user could have more than one heat tank, which would allow them to raise gear by additional levels if they wished.

That's silly. We already have

That's silly. We already have heat amps as a CE sink.

Heat amplifiers don't help if

Heat amplifiers don't help if you're already fully leveled.

This would allow you to keep some heat for future gear instead of all of it going to waste.

I'll just point out that this has been suggested before...

Anywho, there's nothing technically majorly wrong with this, aside from the fact that a player who runs constantly with no real skill can get to T3 so much faster, and cause headaches for everyone else they're paired with.

I won't really comment further, seeing as I don't really have anything substantial to add/comment on.

Tuhui, how does one heat equipment without equipping it?

No, thats the problem. Right now, if you want to upgrade a 3* to 4*you need to heat it, meaning equip and bind it so you cant resell so easily.

If we coudl apply heat tanks to those items, then we woudl be able to craft unbound 4*-5* equipment and sell it cheaply without paying the unbind fees.

Processing Thoughts of You Always

@Juances: Possibly using a heat tank on an item would bind it automatically? I suppose that might work.
In theory, this is a good idea, since I don't want to bring my piercing weapons to the RJP in order to heat them.
As to practise, I don't know.
We need more discussion.

It might be possible to have one as a trinket, perhaps...

Interesting point

@Tuhui:
That's an interesting point, but Three Rings could also program heat tanks to work only for bound items. I'm pretty sure they have a boolean flag to determine whether an item is bound or not.

@Aureate
I was thinking heat tanks would be like weapon slot upgrades (bought from Kozma), but making them trinkets seems like a better idea. They could be craftable like heart pendants and have different levels of capacity. Then players would only be able to equip 2 at a time, and have to choose between heat tanks and CTR trinkets, etc.

This would also make things less confusing for new players, because new players may not understand the difference between a "Heat Tank" and "Heat Amplifier." If one is purchasable at Kozma and the other is crafted, this could prevent some confusion.

a heat tank that stores unused heat is a fine idea that keep heat from being wasted in a run when heat is unneeded. the only problem is that three rings wants to make a profit of players when they have to go down to the clock works to risk dying, spend their money on ce for reviving, spend mist energy to go down their so they get something from the players. and that something is time.

having the heat tank as an in-game item would prevent them from getting your time and money. so this item would likely break the system they have set for us players. so this item unless it cost an immeasurable amounts of money would most likely not be implemented into the game. that's all i have to say for now.
