I was *fortunately* given a gold uv ticket and i was wondering whether i should use it or sell it. The two things i would choose to use it on are either my DA or *soon to be* voltedge. however my voltedge has a ctr low and i was thinking of bringing it up to atleast a med before i ever decided to give it an extra uv. i was wondering what your opinions are o: oh and if anyone would like to buy it give me a generous offer i can't refuse (:

No one would pay more than it's worth. And who would bother to pay the exact same price instead of just going directly to punch?

Personally I'd sell it. From personal experience, Punch is a troll who gives you whatever is most useless.
If you want to use it, wait until you get a good UV (ASI or CTR) on a sword or gun you really really want.
Then use the ticket on it, but keep the original variant you got.

I have used Punch exactly once. That one time he gave me CTR Medium on my Biohazard.
I propose that this is the sweetest UV/weapon combination in the entire goddamn game.
Are you the kind who'll start with a single Max lock it, double-roll till you get something good, lock it, and then finally triple? If so, keep it. If not, sell it.

With 3 different UV tickets and 200k or so (can't remember exact), all at once:
-Valkyrie Mail (Shadow Max)
-Divine Veil (Stun Max, Fire Med)
-Barbarous Thorn Shield (Elemental Max, Piercing Med, Normal Low)
-Final Flourish (CTR High, ASI Low)
In my past:
-Biohazard (CTR VH, ASI Low)

-Acheron (CTR Med, Gremlin VH)
-Final Flourish (ASI Med, Fiend Med)
-Prismatech Alchemer (Undead VH) <- On AH for 75k at Long, and this was in one roll [50k+ profit :D]

Note: I never roll on a piece of gear more than 4 times.
Overall, I'd take a chance with luck unless you really need the money. It's basically a free 3 UV roll, which is usually a costly 225k cost.
You're giving up whatever you could have got by selling it. And tripling is really not worth it unless you have, at minimum, Max + Med or High + High already. (And if it's Max + Med, you might still be better off rerolling the Med, unless your intention is just to triple one or two times and take what you get.)
Some perspective: tripling twice spends as much CE as just buying a CTR High Brandish. For the average player, the Brandish is far better value.
My strategy is definitely to get one UV that I really like, and then to keep that UV on, while I add more UVs. So I think that you're wise to hold off on using it.
As for selling it, I don't know. If you can sell it for its retail price at Punch and Vise, then I guess you should, as you're not losing any money and you're gaining flexibility in how you spend that money. But if you can sell it only at a loss, then don't?
