I just came up with this idea so I'm just thinking as I write. Anyway I just thought of a new status effect, Doom, and if you've played any RPG like Final Fantasy, you probably know what this status effect will do. Once Doom is inflicted on a knight, a black skull will appear over that knight behind a counter counting down; and when it reaches zero that knight dies (the count down lasts 1 min). Since it is so powerful though, it has a very small chance of ever being inflicted and can be cured with a remedy capsule like all the other status effects. Only undead can inflict this status, particularly a new undead enemy I thought of, a Reaper. It is basically a mini-boss like enemy that you can fight in a graveyard style arena depth in the last round.
Looks:
Tier 1
The Reaper looks essentially like this http://www.colourbox.com/preview/2470725-348467-cute-cartoon-grim-reaper... except with the face looking more like a Droul (forgive me, I'd draw him myself but I'm just to lazy). It also has a spooky aura surrounding it.
Tier 2
Looks more menacing, scythe is slightly bigger, bones are darker, eyes are purple instead of green
Tier 3
Looks even scarier, bones are black and cracked with glowing purple come from the cracks, eyes are glowing fiercely purple
Attacks:
Tier 1
Slash- inflicts normal and shadow
Rise- slams scythe down to summon zombies
Shadow bomb- shadow orbs circle the Reaper and then are shot out and explode on contact like the catalyzer http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Catalyzer.
Tier 2
Slash- inflicts normal and shadow
Rise- slams scythe down to summon zombies (slightly more zombies are risen)
Shadow bomb(more orbs)- shadow orbs circle the Reaper and then are shot out and explode on contact like the catalyzer
Soul reap (may cause Doom)- disappears and then appears circling an unlucky knight and slashes straight through them and disappears.
*I'll update more later*
"Since it is so powerful though, it has a very small chance of ever being inflicted"
Making something overpowered, but then giving it a very small chance of ever happening isnt a good balance.
