Hey Devs / GMs, Auction House Glitch + Loss of Crowns

So I'm posting this topic on behalf of my brother who plays this game. He had a problem, and he mailed the GMs. However, for those who know how the GMs work, they do not leave the message open to reply. I put "Devs / GMs" in the title because since he can't reply, I want them to see it.

So after the server crash and restoration, he saw a Silversix Recipe going for 9600 crowns. He decided to bid, and it took 40,000 crowns out of his account. This glitch has now cost him what is the equivalent of 2-3 days of work on this game.

Given that I was on and he was sitting 2 feet from me, I saw him do it. The GMs responded that they can't help him, but that's wrong. He's a paid player, and as a P2P player, he has more than enough right to get help. This isn't to say he gets his way, but he deserves some support on the issue.

Why is it fair that he's punished for an auction house glitch? Yes, it's player to player, but it was neither player who made it happen, it was the game. The GMs said that they can't take it back from the other player, but why should he be docked the extra 30000 crowns when they both could have a benefit from it. Yeah, the the guy made the 30k on it, but he made that regardless - so why does my brother have to pay for a glitch anyways? All this over 30k from the Devs?

And yes, it was a glitch. The ONLY thing displayed on the bid was 9600. Normally, if you bid and someone else has done the same thing before it refreshes on your screen, it normally says "you must bid at least x crowns" - but that never happened. It just instantly jumped it to 40k and that was that.

Now, this is extremely plausible. Literally after the re-crash I lost a Fang of Vog that I purchased minutes before it happened, and I also contacted the GMs, and they helped me replace it because they have a record of it. And they could do that because it was game to player, not player to player. So knowing that the game was having errors in exchanging items and currency and has been proven and resolved in one scenario, there's more than enough plausibility to this claim.

The other guy made the money, and that's great. But there's no reason my brother should be punished for the auction house glitching. I think that's insane - and yes, I get that it's player to player, but it goes through the game, and if the game messes up that just does not seem fair that one player benefits greatly and the other doesn't. Why can't the one player benefit and the other play just have been restored to normalcy when they aren't at fault.

In short, I think OOO should give him the difference (the 31400 crowns that he did not bid) or give him back 40,000 crowns and take the Silversix recipe from it, basically nul and voiding the exchange and letting the other player keep his benefit because it was no fault to the other player. I see nothing wrong with that as a solution, and that's what he actually asked the Devs for. There is no actual gain for him otherwise.
