I'd like to issue a warning to all newer players who want to do this--DON'T! Unless you accidentally picked pink and you're a guy, don't ever change it. It's a waste of money for a minor cosmetic change that doesn't really matter.

I changed mine twice and was happy both times.
It's actually a pretty big cosmetic change if you like costumes because different colours go with different armours and accessories.
Also, my first colour was pink and it wasn't an accident. What's up with a guy having pink? :c
It matters a lot, unless you have no sense for colour. (Which is fine, but then you should know not to bother.)

I'll never have any reason to change my color from cyan. It's the color of actual Zydrate, after all.

I don't regret changing my colour, and I only had to do it once. Never gonna change it again. I'm glad the option was available, else I'd never get to have the costume I do. There's no way it would work with any other personal colour.
Main reason OOO finally allowed us to change it is because of how heavily it effects prismatic items and certain armours (namely, the nameless poncho). It isn't just a minor cosmetic thing anymore. It's pretty major.

Every colour is for everybody. Long ago pink was a male colour and blue was for girls. Gettin' rustled over which colour which gender picks is silliness.
I've never changed my color because I've always been happy with being orange. Also, nothing wrong with pink. Up until the 1930-40's or so, pink used to be for boys where blue was for girls.
I spend my crowns on more powerful bombs. VT and Nitro are the in thing right now. Divine Avenger? So five minutes ago. Final Flourish? Give me a break, that thing is such a jerk to physics and it isn't even cool! Barbarous Thorn Blade? Puh-LEEZ, Dark Briar Barrage hits more enemies at a time and is really much cooler.

When I see a Pink Knight and a name that involves "Chan", "Pretty", "Kitty" or something Girly I just assume it's a Girl, or even Pink by itself.

Being able to change your Personal Color is a +1 to anyone big on costumes or just someone wanting to mix things up.

Colors don't matther. Only noobs make a big deal about their color. I wanted regular blue, but I accidently chose cyan. I don't take a big deal about it.
