Yeah, I want a box I can check (or X) that would prevent random people (not friends or Guild) from asking me to trade.

uh, no. when you check (or X) the box only friend or guildies could trade with you. I'd rather friend someone to trade, then have 5 people open trade each time i run to the AH.
You could just keep it uncheck (or X) and nothing would change.

Make it simple
How about having trade requests from strangers not make a pop-up window and instead just act as if someone tried trading you in the clockworks?

Same can be done for mission invites
that would be tedious un checking the box, or friending someone every time you want a trade.
