I've been trying to find gear to go with a RSM I just crafted, both in appearance and in functionality.

It works pretty decently with a Seerus mask in the Legion of Almire mission and in FSC, but other then that the only levels it was more problems thanks to the piercing resistance and lack of other status defenses.

As for looks, I can only find a regal stranger hat or a gold bomb head working with it, I didn't choose a good proto armor when I started this character 1 years ago :V

So, any suggestions to for the pimpin' but kinda outclassed mail?

Also, when is OOO releasing a Radiant Silverhelm? :C

Gold Bombhead, Wolver Cap,

Gold Bombhead, Wolver Cap, Spiral Demo Helm, Scary Skelly Mask, Regal Stranger Hat, Chapeau of the Gold Rose, and a regal Proto Helm are the ones that I can think of that would match RSM's color scheme. There are some others that don't necessarily fit the color scheme, but look good anyway, but that's up to your jurisdiction. I think I may have been the first person to match Wolver Cap and RSM (indeed there's a thread from a fashion contest some time back as evidence), and I feel like that would be the closest thing to a proper helm to RSM. It also doesn't look too shabby. As for the actual helm, I don't know what happened to it. It's not even in the game files, as far as I can tell.

I use a Wyvern Scale helm for

I use a Wyvern Scale helm for my own Silvermail, so I suppose it'd upgrade to Dragon Scale Mail. Looks nice, shadow, elemental, and piercing defense + Poison, fire, and curse defense. No shock though. ._. No normal defense, though. But from what I can tell, normal damage is sort of rare in T3. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Maybe a Grey Feather cowl. combined with your RSM, it'll cover all damages, poison, fire, shock, and curse status. Not too sure if it'll look good together, though. ._.

If your going for function, it goes pretty well with a shadowsun Stetson for rabid snarby.

Processing Thoughts of You Always

Costume-wise, Divine Veil, Radiant Silvermail, Grey Owlite Shield, Divine Avenger.
Admittedly I have the Amber personal colour, so that might not work for you.

Function-wise, the Radiant Silvermail is only really much use in UGWW, or the Briar Bone Barrage series of levels (I can't remember the exact names). Piercing and Shadow enemies don't often make an appearance together, unfortunately, and the damage bonus is vs. undead only. In most other circumstances I'd get something that has some normal defence to it, and a more widespread offensive bonus. Skolver or Shadowsun would be favourite.

Edit: I was referring to costume armour for the first part. Derp. xP

normal protection

"Divine Veil, Radiant Silvermail..."

That set offers no normal protection. In almost all situations, you want normal protection. And, as Aureate pointed out, it's rare to get significant amounts of piercing and shadow enemies together (except in SGWW). Frankly, there's not much that pairs well with Radiant Silvermail, because it doesn't even make much sense with itself.

For looks a Gold Chapeau

For looks a Gold Chapeau works quite well for me.

For a helm pairing the Crown of the Fallen or Heavenly Iron Helm work well for turning yourself into a mean Skelly killing machine that can take a surprising amount of hits. The Fiend penalty on the Fallen helm isn't that much of a setback.

I usually only bring out the RSM for undead heavy areas like FSC, so pairing it with an Argent Peacemaker allows for some great precision undead busting. Likewise, any elemental sword will benefit from the armor bonus. Though this works well for me since I rarely use weapon specific bonuses and tend to stack monster family bonuses instead.

And yes, this armor is really really useful for Rabid Snarby.
