right, since I've always wondered a bit about the knights themselves -- not their adventures on an alien world -- I thought 'what would happen if an escape pod from skylark got knocked off course, what if someone else found it? what are the knights truly? So this.

I cannot promise the record I will keep shall be complete, or without redaction. What we have found may change how we view the stars as we currently know them. For the need of introductions, my name is Doctor Cornelius Disalvo; I work for a division of the united states experimental weaponry and research division. We're the guys who're called whenever something weird goes down -- and this definitely fits the bill.
The basic incident report is as follows: at roughly 1900 hours, twenty miles out of the town of West burrow, Kansas -- what is best described as an escape pod crashed into the local swamps. The pod itself appeared heavily damaged, extraction teams recorded a luminescent blue mist escaping from several broken pipes.
The pod was given to my team to study at roughly 2200 hours, upon closer inspection, we discovered what appeared to be a control panel on one side of the pod. No writing of any kind appeared to be on the panel, and power appeared to be knocked out. A single window into the pod, however, revealed what will here on out be referred to as subject alpha. A crew was called in to pry open the door to the pod, and subject alpha was removed for further examination
Subject alpha appears roughly humanoid, although highly mechanical. It appears to be wearing some kind of heavy outer shell, an armor like substance, making closer analysis of the being itself impossible. The armor, however, appears to part in a visor, around the face, however closer inspection revealed the 'face' -- or what was visible of it -- was simply a black material, it seems to be similar to the kind of thing used in LED displays -- TVs, clocks, that sort of thing.
Inside the pod several pieces of weaponry were found locked into a wall, the restraints form a cage-like barrier around what appears to be an explosive, a small handgun, and an edged weapon reminiscent of a broadsword used in medieval Europe. The metal bars are of an unknown metal, but appear to be reinforced with some form of clear, heavily durable material. The division has succeeded in creating cracks in the clear material, as well as denting the metal bars themselves, but heavy progress has been deemed impossible at this time.
Also in the pod is a seat, fairly normal to Earth design, as well as several straps -- apparently meant to ensure the safety of the occupant. Another control that -- on consensus -- the division has decided must control the seat, or other basic systems, on the right arm of the seat. A small pump was found underneath this seat. Unlike other instruments and objects within the pod, this appears to be removable, perhaps meant for mobility during it's use. Until the object can be quarantined within a safe environment and some procedure can be drawn up based upon its outer appearance, no testing will be done on it.
This log will be continued as more experiments are performed both on the pod, on subject Alpha, and the unknown object.
aren't there a set set of elements in the universe? Just a question, because If so, then the un-known metal is known...
Anyway, interesting idea...
