the intention of Polaris' charge attack is that is knocks back enemies which are too close for the expanded bullets.

The charge attack on Supernova is awesome.

The charge attack on Polaris has a chance to shock and entirely cancel the whole knockback thing, making the charge not very useful.

The reason CTR VH on a Supernova is the best UV for a Supernova is because the charge attack is priceless since it doesn't shock and cancel knockback. On the other hand, Polaris' best UV stat is currently ASI (entirely different from Supernova) due to its charge attack not being reliable.

Please note that using these guns for knockback purposes is INTENDED FOR SOLOING! I am not suggesting this to make Polaris more of a troll weapon, I am suggesting this to make Polaris less of a suck soloing weapon compared to Supernova.

Only for Supernova currently,

Only for Supernova currently, and in certain situations, specifically soloing.

If you don't have a Supernova, you most likely haven't watched someone utilize the Supernova's charge attack for knockback / soloing purposes for an obvious reason. That obvious reason being you likely weren't in their party while they were soloing.
