Instead of CLICKING the UP arrow to see the previous chats, HOLDING the mouse button down would automatically scroll up. It's quite annoying to have to click a bunch of times to see previous chat when you're alt-tabbed or just a quick afk.
SIMPLE: Scroll up chatbox button / Scroll bar!

I read the thread, I don't know what his settings are but when I press up key my character moves up so I assumed he must have been clicking up while while mousing or something weird. I was just informing OP that you can simply press pageup and pagedown for quick scrolling through the chat.

Pageup is annoying for users like me. I mean it is like pressing up rapidly just to see a message. Did you try pressing the pageup button only? Maybe you pressed your knight to go up too. Either way, my setting is set to mouse
