It's worth much more than 10,000. A CTR+3 Brandish sells for at least 400,000. A CTR+2 Brandish should probably sell for 100,000, but I'm not confident about that specific figure.

Really? So you already have max damage and max ASI as well? Please tell me how you're achieving this.

I never said I was maxing out those things, and I don't see those as absolutely crucial to success. I just meant that through my trinkets, a ctr uv in a sword isn't really valuable to me. and I beef up my damage and speed some through my armors depending on where I am.

They're not crucial to success --- if you're good, you can play well with mediocre gear --- but Derpules' point stands. If you have CTR UVs on your swords, then you can replace some of your CTR trinkets with damage trinkets (or ASI trinkets).
Ideally, you would have damage maxed out against every family (and Vanaduke, and PvP), and ASI maxed out, and CTR maxed out. You need eight +2s bonuses to max out all of these abilities on swords. Depending on the sword, you might be willing to forsake either ASI or CTR; then you need only five or six +2s. Your armor and shield can give you only three +2s.

Yeah, none of this is "absolutely crucial to success".
You don't need UVs, trinkets, or even 5* weapons to succeed. But as Bopp says, that doesn't make them "pointless". Being able to equip an additional ASI or damage trinket--or even another sort of trinket--is always beneficial.
I personally wouldn't pay more than 10K but any ctr sword is pointless to me thanks to my sword focus modules.
