They could replace your face in the party listing with the skull/danger symbol while you are dead.

Yeah, i find it also kinda annoying, it happened many times that when i was dead on the floor already reved but i didnt got up, since i wanted to finish what i picked on my spoon/fork (bad habit eating in front of PC), and the person that reved me or others were dancing over my dead body trying to rev me again, sometimes they got killed while being distracted.

Definitely couldn't hurt. I've found myself "doing the Demo dance" around a revived party member before in the middle of a fight with Gun Puppies. It's not pretty.
