If the idea of Trinkets are supposed to be to customize your character and playstyle, why are they all boring, flat buffs to a specific stat? Let's get some variety in there, and some unique effects. Here are just a few I came up with:

Heart-Ray Specs
▲ View Enemy HP
▼ Enemies View Your HP

Many different RPGs have some sort of mechanism, usually equipment, that lets you see enemy health. Trading one of your Trinket slots for this could allow more savvy players to pick off weaker enemies and players. The downside is that it works both ways, so not as to become overpowered in Lockdown. One allows viewing of HP of monsters and players; two would allow viewing of Boss HP (entire party informed of Boss HP optional.)

Emergency Tank
▲ Energy Revival Cost Halved
▼ Fair chance of causing moderate Curse/Revive with 1/2 HP/You can only revive three times

Any one of the downsides is enough to counterbalance the upside in my opinion, which is geared towards players that use energy revives a lot.

Silk Wing
▲ Sword Attacks restore health
▼ Sword damage penalty: Medium

Half a pip a hit for one, a pip for two equipped, subject to tier based restrictions.

Music Note Boombox
▲ All Attack Sounds Become Musical Instrument Sounds

It's silly c:

#1: Kinda useless and a bit

#1: Kinda useless and a bit of a waste of a slot
#2: Using revives a lot isn't a playstyle and certainly nothing to be encouraged. Also that trinket doesn't make sense because you make revives cheaper, but then limit and punish reviving.
#3: Bwahahaha, no. No healing. Ever.
#4: A waste of a trinket slot. Also this game is neither Minecraft nor Paper Mario.

Cosmetic or overpowered garbage.

Excuse me while I urinate on orphans who are cuddling puppies.

Hmm

Well, aren't you the critic? Can't you SUGGEST things to the suggester on ways to fix it?

#1 I can see how it would be useless in most levels, but in a danger room, it could be a lifesaver. You've been attacking things like crazy, and you notice your HP is down. You have to kill off the weaker enemies to remove damaging threats. Useful there, but not needed all the same. (You never need trinkets, so I don't see how this is a problem) Also, no boss damage gauge. This is a bad idea I'm think. In PvE, maybe enemies could be more aggressive toward you when you are weak, and more defensive when you have more HP.

#2 Seems a bit sketchy. Like, you aren't supposed to die a lot. Maybe it could half the first starting revive, (10 goes to 5) and then, instead of the cost doubling, it could triple. It would start out less, but climb faster.

#3 Weellll...ya, no healing. That won't work. I don't see how.

#4 I lol'd at this. This is a nice idea. Although, I think a rare drop would work better for the way you obtain it.

Also, ever considered having the map size extend? Having the map show enemies?

I wouldn't mind having #1 I

I wouldn't mind having #1 I think that would be useful, but most likely too OP for LD.

#2 and #3 are pretty broke, they've said no healing aside from hearts/pills in the clockworks. and the first 3 revives are cheaper? That'll remove a minor source of income from the grand CE sink.

#4 I WANT THIS SO BAD.
