SK doesn't have any hot, dry, sandy areas. I think this new level will be fun and HOT!!! Besides, bosses are always fun to kill.
Basically, these levels are sort of a deserty canyon map.
Location:tier 3
Monsters- These levels will feature mostly fire themed monsters. These monsters include the beast, gremlin, and the undead family.
Other things to look out for- Rocks you will have to break, just like stone blocks
Sandstorms(later described) Quicksand(also later described)

Summary- The citizens of Desertia(really need help with this name) need your help. The problem, their main source of water, an oasis, has been blocked by some sort of creature. Because of this, they can't keep themselves cool. You must go and check out what is happening. Bring your water bottles!

Fact Check!- Desertia is the desert part of the clockworks. The citizens there have unique armor which helps protect them against sunlight/fire. Myth states that Desertia was uncovered when The Crimson Order tried to use it as a base, but that idea failed(it was too hot). Soon, knights found it, and established a town. They were able to create armor from the rocks to protect from the sun.

Depth 24- Rocky trails
In this level, there are lots of rocks that can slow you down along the way.

Depth 25- Quicksand Trouble
This level will feature quicksand. Quicksand is a floor hazard. If you get trapped in it, You will not be able to move and will also lose health over time. The only way to get out is to attack with you sword or gun the opposite direction you want to go. Or you can just bomb your way out. It will take multiple times to get out with the sword and gun, but just once for the bomb

Depth 26- Sweeping Sands
Sandstorms will now occur. These will occur at random and can happen anytime, even during battles. The wind will be louder, so you will know when a sandstorm will occur. Sandstorms make it harder to see and harder to run forward. Your attack speed with a weapon will go slower. Monsters are also affected by this.

Depth 27-?????(can't think of a name)
A new monster will be featured in this level. A scorpion that crawls out of the ground kind of like a zombie. It attacks with its pincers and can swing its tail around to hit you, which causes knock back. There will be quicksand and sandstorms in this level too. In the final battle before the boss, a big sandstorm will hit. There will also be some piles of quicksand too.

Depth 28- The Oasis
This is the boss level. The boss is a SCORPION!! It's name is Sandler(again need help) and it isn't very friendly. It is a member of the beast family. Before the battle begins, you learn that the scorpion has prevented anyone from going into the oasis so that it can take all the magical water for itself. What a greedy scorpion!

Phase 1- The scorpion can burrow underground(just like the snarbolax underground attack) and lunges at you with its claws/pincers. You must attack the shell of the scorpion until it is broken and attack. The scorpion also spawn 4 pepperkats.

Phase 2- The scorpion will burrow underground while it heals. It will still make the underground attacks. Two More pepperkats will spawn and a sandstorm will occur.

Phase 3- The scorpion will now come up and attack. It now has an additional attack. Some venom comes out of its stinger and inflicts fire. It also leaves behind shadow fire(there is water). The shell is a bit harder to break.

Phase 4- Same as phase 2, except sandstorm will occur longer.

Phase 5- The scorpion will spawn 2 mini scorpions who don't have a shell, and just attack with their pincers. It now can spin its stinger around halfway across the room, inflicting fire and causing damage.

Once it's dead, you will receive 2-4 venom tokens. Instead of healing with pads, you just walk into some water(the oasis) and you will heal! Pretty cool, well at least to me. With the tokens, I was thinking you could buy some sword of sword that swings around(like the calibur charge) and can shoot something on its charge attack. You can also buy some of the armor that Desertians wear that protects against elemental and shadow. The armor could look like some cloth thing.

I still need help with some stuff like what it will look like and what you can buy with tokens. Thanks for reading!

expand on what the terrain

expand on what the terrain itself would be, and monsters, but the idea has merit.

Well,

another Boss Suggestion Level... lets see, where to begin:

Well, first of all, I do like the idea of a desert level, that would be cool.

But, I don't see any logic in this at all really,

Fire in the Desert? What is there to be set on fire?
Water in a drought? How does that make sense?
Fun, more Slags, I never got bored of them grinding FSC.
Woah! A Gremlin! Where did that come from?
What does a scorpion have to do with magic? And how is the scorpion exactly blocking the water? And WHY is it blocking the water.

Now, on to my view of the actual mission.

D24: Needs more detail
D25: Needs more detail on the actual level.
D26: Needs more detail on the ACTUAL LEVEL.
D27: Question marks? I do not believe that is a Shadow Lair. And again, needs more detail, you can't just say: "Harder than the previous levels."
D28: If he burrows to heal, then wouldn't that make him invincible. And to me, it just sounds like a Vana Run... with Beasts.

I admit, this did remind me of the game borderlands, though the term didn't originate there, unsurprisingly.

badlands |ˈbadˌlandz|
plural noun
extensive tracts of heavily eroded, uncultivable land with little vegetation.
• ( the Badlands) a barren plateau region of the western U.S., mainly in southwestern South Dakota and northwestern Nebraska, south of the Black Hills, noted for its harsh terrain.
ORIGIN mid 19th cent. (originally U.S.): translation of French mauvaises terres.

If this is implemented, it would be funny to see a robot briefing you, reminiscent to a Claptrap. But copyright stuff would make it illegal or something I guess. I'm no lawyer though.

DEADBUNNY!!!

First off, before I comment on anything else...where the crap is Desertia supposed to be? And who lives there? Is it in the Clockworks? An ancient city previously unknown to knights on the surface? Do Gremlisn live there? What? It just doesn't really fit in the story line.

What about us pure bombers?

I feel discriminated.

@oatmonster- sorry, forgot

@oatmonster- sorry, forgot about you bombers. Probably because I was rebelling against them when someone froze me with their shiver and kept me there all night! Good thing I had some jelly bars.

@aplauses- where did you get the ocean idea?
