So today, I was farming t1 OCH for masks (those things sell for like, 30k and they're easy to get. Don't judge me) and I was rather disappointed at the gremlin demo's reaction to bombs. I mean, those things are demomen (or demogrems, whatever you want to call them), shouldn't they be more knowledgeable about bombs and try to avoid them while throwing out bombs like a monkey flinging poo instead of standing right on top of the bomb until it explodes? Basically, what I want to suggest is to make the gemlin demos smarter by having them actually try to avoid bombs, that way, they become more challenging (and more of a pain in the anus) because right now they're just dumb.
To be honest, I think all monsters have crappy bombsense. Not a single monster will dodge out of a blast radius, which is probably just as well or you'd never end up hitting them in the first place. They already move pseudo-randomly, making them harder to shoot or cut. Bombs can't be set instantly either, meaning that trying to hit a gremlin demo with a bomb would be pretty hard unless you shieldbump them into the radius in time.
However, I do think that the 'low on health' section of the AI needs to be retweaked. I had a whole bunch of Darkfang Scorchers standing in the centre of an arena at one point, just idling whilst I came up to kill them. They didn't attempt to dodge or run away, or even use pills, which is pretty silly. In addition, the minigremlins don't leave corpses in t3 for Menders to revive them, and they don't use pills either, making them even more trivial to kill.
