I think it would be neat to be able to change your characters name.
By Finding A ticket in a run or something in that line and be able to sell it in the AH to.
I asked support today about if a can change my toons name and this is what i was told.
I'm sorry, but we're not able to change knight names upon request. We're only able to change names if they're deemed offensive for some reason.
Could something like this be done?
say that you change your name, and then you log on.
And your friend sees this:
Your friend [Insert Your New Name] has logged on.
Your friend thinks, who the heck is this person? I don't remember friending him, maybe some random noob I accientally friended...
This appears on your friends' screen:
You have removed [Insert Your New Name] from your friends' list
The same thing can happen within your guild.
"What if once you change your name an automatic mail goes to all your friends?"
This could be the solution, it could not. I say not because why would OOO waste time making mail that would go you to all your friends, you could have a large amount of friends (Around 70) and that would waste time. Or, you could do the mail yourself. Why waste crowns, though?
"What if my past name appears in ()"
What if one of your friends is on a vacation and then the past name disappears? Defreiiiind. And again, that would just be a pain to OOO.
