Me and my friends started playing last year and since then we have become strong enough to defeat every Boss, every Boss but the Roarmulus Twins.

We all have high level equipment and energy is not a problem at first, but we can't seem to beat them.

we know we have to hit the switches so their attacks hit each other and we all gang up on the one that was hit, but after they both start to move we experience Bad luck, Freak accidents, Shield failure, Bad timing
you name it.

There must have been something we've missed or a hidden secret, can anyone help us?

SUNSHAAAAAAAAARDS

First, I'd ask that this be put in "New Recruits"; Suggestions is for suggesting new features.

Anyway, first make sure you've got the right gear, of course. A strong Elemental sword is preferred; the Brandishes will do the trick. Failing that, your best elemental Gun will work; a Silversix will tear the Twins up. Bombs are a bit dangerous to use because of switches, and they're tricky to time, but if all you've got's a Twisted Snarble Barb and a bomb, please use the bomb. Never use Piercing damage; Shadow and Normal will work if you don't have Elemental. And keep in mind, Haze bombs don't count as Elemental.

Freezing Vaporizer and its upgrades won't do well on the Twins, but they can keep the Scuttlebots pinned down. Of course, be aware that rockets may come and ruin your day. When you say "every boss", do you mean Vanaduke, too? Because

Once they both move, it's a matter of getting as many rockets through as possible. Only one of you should hit the switches; the others should concentrate on watching for a Twin to fall and keeping the Scuttlebots away. If one Twin has a shield, don't worry about rockets heading its way until the shield's down.

Only reasons for failure in

Only reasons for failure in RT is either bad team coordination or a bad/inexperienced switch hitter.

The way I've found to be most efficient is to have the 3 players who are not switch hitters to cover the switch hitter. In other words, kill the scuttlebots so the hitter can keep full focus on the switches. That's one of the reasons soloing the twins is tricky business since you have to defend from scuttlebots as well as switch hit (although easily possible to do with enough experience). Also, allowing the hitter to keep full focus on the switches will likely minimize the screwups during the run, since no one's perfect :P

Aside from that, your team needs to do it's best to avoid hitting the missiles/rockets. Better to shield from a shock projectile or a scuttlebot attack than a missile that might knock one of the twins down.

If all else fails, practice makes perfect. Try and try again ;)

@Doctorspacebar, IMO,the Divine Avenger charge actually works better than the Brandish line's during the actuall boss fight because the projectiels can keep on hitting them.

Also, part of your second paragraph seems to be missing.

Aside from what has been said, I'd say to concentrate on letting rockets get through on the middle. If you have one twin shooting on the top/botton and one twin shooting down the middle, keeping the middle rockets going takes priority. This is because the twin on the top/bottom has to either go to the middle, or go through the middle to reach the other position and you are almost guaranteed to hit it. If you had concentrated on letting missles on the top/botton reach the other side, you'd only have a 50% chance of the other twin even going in that direction.

Processing Thoughts of You Always

It isn't that hard to run them, if you have the knowledge of how to do it.
A Divine Avenger is the best friend you can possibly have down there. A single charge and swing, even in a full party, is enough to push an unshielded twin into the next phase on its own. If you lack a Divine Avenger, it's going to take a bit longer, but with an elemental Brandish you should be fine. A suitably powerful Calibur-line sword should also be capable of taking them down fast, with the charge. Guns and bombs are not particularly helpful against the boss itself, although since you got there I presume you know about the layout of IMF itself and don't need help with them. An Antigua-line gun will help you hit the switches fast, however.
Keep the centre lane full of rockets. That way, you will be much more likely to get one of the twins down.
Ensure only one person does the rockets, with another as backup. Anybody else should focus on clearing the floor when the twins start moving, and getting rid of scuttlebots when they're freed/respawned.
Get an elemental shield if you're having shield troubles. The Owlite line is your best friend down here.
Remember that once one twin has been hit once, a red shield will appear, absorbing any rockets that might hit it. This will stay up until the other twin is in the same phase, too. You're going to have to alternate between sides.
You may find that doing it solo is easier, since the Twins gain health depending on the number of players.
Oh, and Vokster's superfast Youtube run.
