I think it's pretty weird that so many 5* weapons are unviable in Lockout/PvP. Some balancing needs to happen when it comes to "pierce" damage imo.

In my opinion they should severely nerf pierce damage against players when in PvP or somehow otherwise buff every other weapon type. I see enough Flourish weapons in use, and hate that I've even had to resort to using them.

Hey stupid, use the search function before whining.

No, Flourish is not the only "overpowered" weapon. No, buffing everything else does not compensate for the overuse of this weapon. No, Lockdown is not balanced. Yes, Lockdown should be balanced; but by someone who has significant competence in balancing, existing content, and plays often and well enough to know how the minigame works with their face inside-out and toes in their nostrils.

this topic is so sad, but

this topic is so sad, but shows the whole truth about omgz omgz dat xxx weapon is too oppp nerf it naonaonao!qqq!

This is what usually left when you take away those cover lies #oh its for the greater good#,#its to make game better#

Also its so sad how people think that nerfing/buffing one particular thing sudeny will make everything wlnderufl. Thinking like that is just plain stuupid.

Good to see we have very

Good to see we have very mature members running around the forum.

Idea; how about instead of acting like a self righteous dork, you just add your two cents in whilst being polite about it? It's just a suggestion, not an official update. Then again, both of you definitely use piercing damage in PvP, confirmed. So I understand why you're so angry about it.

I realize this game has cute chibi-esc sprites and all, but is that really reason to attract all these hormone raging children? Get your weight up and stifle yourself, kthx. Thanks for the input.

If you severely nerf all piercing damage than all the toothpickers will cry and maybe quit.

Think of numbers for things too. Numbers are good. By how much do you want to nerf toothpick damage? 1%? 30%? 5000% so it damages the user? How much do you want to buff the everything else? Wait a minute.... buffing everything else means... TROLLARIS GETS A BUFF.

Nope.

Lockdown needs to be balanced. People know this. Someone will possibly get around to doing it. In the meantime, this thread isn't helping.

Players of games which have

Players of games which have spent money and time building themselves up won't quit because one weapon that EVERYONE ELSE has as well gets nerfed a little. It'll be a very small impact at best. Obviously you're not too experienced in MMO's. Nerfing is a norm, and necessity.

Edit: Rereading your post I have gathered that you're a troll. Reaching with that 5000% damage reduction comment shows me your talent in exaggeration and unwillingness to consider the option at all. If you need to exaggerate in order to make my idea seem bad, it must not be that bad in the first place. Thanks for confirming that this thread is a success.

Flourish isn't the problem; armor is.

Something I've noticed: The most rage-inducing things in this game are lag (IRL problem), Shock Fiends, and pure Piercing damage. Why? Because unlike pretty much everything else, there isn't an armor designed to deal with it. There's no armor that resists Shock and Shadow (aside from Divine Mantle/Veil, but Normal damage will go right through that), and there's no pure Piercing (or Elemental, but the only problem-ish thing is the Hammer, and that's dodge-able) armor. Perhaps we should act like the hi-tech civilization we are and fix the gaps in our arsenal? The problem is, though, that many toothpick users also have things like Fausts and Polarises, making pure piercing armor silly. The best thing to do in this situation (IMO, naturally) is to make only the stabby parts of the combo do Piercing, but then Greavers would eat people alive, so that's not an option.

Tl;dr Flourish is just the most obvious problem that occurs when the weapon/armor system is turned against itself.

Welcome to LD.

Blame the fact that there is no PURE PIERCE Def.

Now instead of demanding nerfs because of a side minigame, try suggesting said armour.

??? How is pierce armor not a

??? How is pierce armor not a nerf to pierce damage?

I'm starting to wonder if you guys understand that nerfs come in many different packages. I don't care how they do it, just work on it.

I suggested making pierce defence instead of nerfing Flourish.

Not really a nerf. As in you want to weaken its usefulness, adding piece res armour allows for more people to try out new weapons for replacements. It's still good, but not as good compaired to a cetain armour.

Flourish isn't that good in PvE when comparing. Buffing all weapons. It's mostly because of invincibility frames removing those purposes(You know that april 10th patch making all those other weapons useful). Infact, when flourish is nerfed, the next strongest weapon will take it's place in infamy.

On the subjects of nerfs, how about striker?

That's the main reason for said flourish problems.

Nerfs kinda ruined cetain things. Wolvers used to be a challenge, then they got nerfed to the point of retardation.
