My Download gets cut off

I play the web client right from this site, I have never had a problem before and I have it usually in under a half hour.

However this computer was upgraded recently and now when I go to the Play page on this I can't hold a steady download and it never finishes, the download freezes and my Network monitor shows that there is nothing downloading when there is still about 12-13 minutes left showing on the play page.

Anything else can hold a long download just fine.

And yes this computer does beat the minimum requirements, it has a Core i5 3570K with Intel HD 4000 which is MORE than enough as I had no problem with an older i5 2500K with Intel HD 3000, and while I only have a connection of about 200-300kbs, I can play lag free quite a bit.

I'd like to stick with the web client as much as possible.

Queue?

How does the queue work? My sister was able to get on a few hours after on a different computer and still play. Could it be she because left it up for a few hours and I didn't? does the queue reset on me when I refresh the page?

BTW thanks for the quick reply :)

Yup just leave it there. The estimated time might go astronomical values during that time.

Well, I never was able to get

Well, I never was able to get on earlier this week and with the new update I still can't get on, also like before I don't see the time go up or down, it's frozen at 22:37 right now and it is not changing, (it's a different time whenever I refresh the page). Heck if it was changing, I wouldn't be posting here because I'd know it was working somehow.

I don't mind slow downloads, I DO mind when it doesn't download at all.

Same problem with STEAM version : http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/61285

Downloads from site helped me.

You can try rename (or delete, that would be worse) the following files at \rsrc\ folder :
- full-rest-bundle.jar
- intro-bundle.jar
- full-music-bundle.jar
and see what happens when these files will downloaded again.

Or try ask friends to send these files. For example, by filesharing sites.

Where do I find those files

Where do I find those files to do that? I don't use steam, I come to this website every time I play hence why I say "web client".

AH HA! I wonder if the files for Spiral Knights were corrupted when my dad and I upgraded this computer because we had to figure out an different way to bring back all the old files without messing up the system files.

Oh sorry, I forgot to say this is all in Windows 7 Pro and it was only a hardware upgrade, all the same OS.

Yea that is completely possible.....

Be careful when trying to do that, alot of files wont work the way they should because they have to be "registered". When a program gets installed a key/keys get put into a database called the windows registry. This database holds all the options and settings for the program, like screen resolution for example. You may have noticed a few programs not holding settings or not working at all. You may have to re install them. I would do the same for SK. If you can navigate to the folder where the web client stores data I would delete the whole folder and let it download it again. I am not currently running windows so I dont know where to tell you to look.

I found where java stores it

I found where java stores it and deleted the whole folder to "reinstall" the client and it worked in that I got the new character creation screen, but when I clicked I have an account and signed in I got a screen for downloading the rest of the game(I'm 3* right now), it then froze at that screen and I'm back at square one again.

PS: I'm very appreciative of your help, Thank you.

Browsers....

Ok I would delete that folder again, but this time try using a different web browser to download the data.

I'm not entirely sure if the web client uses the browsers temp folder to store data or not. You could also try deleting your browser cache.
