The level of resistance currently believed to be required for fire/poison immunity is max+max+low (full Dragon Scale with a low UV).

I was immune to oil fires with high+max and a Slippery Wetstone Pendant (the 50-token pendant). This is slightly less than max+max+low I think.

If anybody else wants to double check, try full Dragon Scale and a Wetstone (the 5-token pendant that is slightly less than a low UV).

Well, how would you put it, trinkets obviously break the linear scale of low-medium-high-max.
Status resist are hard to tets, we can guess a bit, but I'd say it's impossible to get precise numbers.

max+max+low = 4+4+1= 9 points
high+max + Slippery Wetstone Pendant = 3+4+?

We know that a 5*trinket equals a medium (2 points). The 4* pendant would be logically weaker.
And we know 2 maxes (8 points) arent enough. The 4* must have a defense value higher than 1.

So the only conclusion is that we need between 8 and 9 points of status resist. 8.5 in a perfect world.

@ Rawrcake:

Yeah, I was part of that testing group. Refer to your thread in the testing forums for my reply from a couple of weeks ago. I'm saying that it seems we need even less resistance than the amount that was discussed in that thread.

@Little-Juances:

Yeah, we just need somebody with max+max and a 2-star Wetstone to confirm. I'm done the mission for today so I'll have to try this another time.

I'm more interested in the poison, fire is easier to dodge imho. Shadowsun + laurel or whatever it is 2* might work?

If it helps, I can say that

If it helps, I can say that dragon scale helm (natural poison 4) with a vog coat with poison med (2), and the pure 5* white laurel (2) does not give me poison resist (8)

A wyvern scale helm (natural poison 3) with vog coat with poison med (2), and a 5* pure white laurel (2) and a 4* snowy white laurel (1.5?) gives me poison resistance. (8.5?)

So it does seem like anything slightly beyond a full bar (8 levels) gives you poison resistance.

Thanks for the information

Thanks for the information Halifix. That reinforces the idea that we need 8.5 resistance points instead of 9 for both fire and poison.

@Blueflood:
Yes, Shadowsun and a 2-star White Laurel should give immunity to the oil poison.

Just as a follow-up, I did a test today with:

  • 2-star Wetstone -> less than low fire UV
  • Crown of the Fallen -> equal to max fire UV
  • Dragon Scale Mail -> equal to max fire UV

This worked as expected. I was immune to the oil fires, so this confirms that we need less than max+max+low, but more than max+max to be immune.

I could program a better game with my butt tied behind my back

I hope you people are aware that this is just the one programmer OOO has making a typo and the oil checking for immunity like so:

if poisonResistance > 8

rather than

if poisonResistance >= 8

like they do with haze bombs in Lockdown.

They probably won't fix it since they figure it'll sell trinket slots.

Status bomb immunity doesn't require 8 *or* more than 8.

It requires 7 points (Max + High).

Or am I hallucinating?

No, you're not. it's 7

No, you're not. it's 7 points to be immune to status bombs.

@Zeddy

You sound silly.

It was intended, otherwise it'd be too easy to get immunity. It was discussed to death in the test servers.

Also, I doubt it is making people who didn't use trinket slots to start using them.
