I was wondering if it would be best to use the mask or sell it on the AH. Current price for one is 400k, with bids
It would be my First 5 star helmet, BUT it has the same protection as my Salamander Mask.
Also im not much of a gunner, more sword and bombs, which makes the mask seems a bit useless.

The mask has both fire and shock defence. That makes it an amazing piece of armour even without the gun bonuses.
Your first 5* helmet would be a perfect mask of seerus?
I'd say craft and use since unbinding and selling takes too much effort for such a small amount of profit. You would make money more easily if you farm the 1* masks and sell for 30-40k as they seem to be popular helmets to use as accessories.
I've been using the Perfect Mask of Seerus in FSC to improve the charge time on my Blitz Needle. It works great, I can tell you. Put it alongside a Nameless Poncho to improve ASI and counter the freeze penalty (not that it'll matter in FSC). Since I'm a sword-gunner hybrid, I often use the Mask alongside my Vog coat.
It's crafted bound, so most of that 400k goes into the 4k CE unbinding fee. It's still about a 75k cr profit though.
I'd say make and use one, then craft and sell until your patience for OCH runs out.
