There's a difference between shield bumping and parrying.
Bumping is when you make the enemy fly off in the opposite direction to save yourself or to group enemies.
Parrying is what happens when you block JUST before an oncoming attack.
When you parry, you perform an uninteruptable attack that deals damage AND pushes back the enemy. This parry can be different for all types of weapons, or just be a general animation.
here are a few rules to not make this overpowered:
1. Parrying can only be done if the shield has taken NO damage.
2. Parrying cannot break through Trojan shields and other such unbreakable shields.
3. Parry damage is ALWAYS half the default output damage of the weapon, even if the enemy is poisoned.
4. Shock, like it does for everything, will interupt the parry.
5. The parry will only target the enemy you blocked, not any other enemy (unless they also happen to be infront of you)
Fill me in on your thoughts about this and at least try to be respectful.
How would you parry an enemy?
Would it be a button? Or when would you press this button? Also which enemies could you parry like deviltes they throw stuff at you?
