Upgrading using Twisted Targe Recipe

I just managed to acquire a Bristling Buckler, and wanted to upgrade it to a Twisted Targe. However, I wasn't sure if it would be best to upgrade it immediately, as it was still Level 1. I read somewhere in the forums that someone managed to get a very cool UV (I'm vaguely familiar with that) when he upgraded his bristling buckler. My question is - are there any added benefits to the Twisted Targe I would make if I level my Bristling Buckler all the way to level 10 as opposed to just upgrading it at level 1?

Short Anwser: No

Heat only affects current stats, and 4-5* gear (that need lvl 5/10 to be crafted)

Heat level has nothing to do

As Stingz and Flists said: heat is unrelated to chance of UV

When upgrading any 3* to a 4*, the item must be heated to level 5 (or more)
When upgrading any 4* to a 5*, the item must be heated to level 10

There is a chance to get a UV every time you craft or upgrade. Good Luck!
