HERES MY AWESOME IDEA.Heres's whats gonna happen.1. Knights may only ask for crowns and ce 5 times a day.2. If they do it for more than 5 times they will get banned for the whole day,and they will not earn extra mist.[K maybe that will raise ce price, but at least it will destroy some BEGGING.

And how exactly would you

And how exactly would you implement that?

OOO should finally change

OOO should finally change game guidelines and officially add "annoying with begging" as a valid reason to fill a complaint at someone.

Processing Thoughts of You Always

This is silly.
How, exactly, do you plan to put this in game? What would constitute begging? Sending an unrequited trade request? Mentioning the words Want and CE and Please in the same sentence?

Asukalan's suggestion is more plausible. As a bonus I suppose the ability to prevent someone from spamming trade requests, by implementing a cooldown period (much like for posting in /2 Trade) might also assist in this matter.

I disagree.

Sending trade requests to other people and spamming it would fit into Harassement

This is how I deal with beggars

Method 1:
Put in all the money I have and DON'T push confirm, then I go and eat lunch.

Method 2:
Put in 1 crown, hit confirm and say: "Don't spend it all in one place!"

Method 3:
Repeat everything the beggar says EXACTLY. They almost always get stumped and don't know what to say.

Method 4:
/ignore [name of beggar here], switch Havens. Problem solved.

Begging might be annoying...

But if OOO is going to work on anything, I'd rather this be the last thing they tackle. It's just a bunch of kids floundering against the slow progress of the game if you don't pay with real money. Real easy to ignore, and I think that aggressive trolling, while having a report function, is also advised by OOO to simply be answered with a /ignore. If that's their stance on aggressive trolling, you can bet something as minor as begging falls under the same boat.

Here's a better idea

1. Right click on the annoying beggar.

2. Click the "ignore" button.

3. You can no longer hear any communications from that player.

@OP:

How would the chat detect that? They way people ask for CR/CE is too random for this kind of system.

It really is too hard to auto-detect things like this…. consider that in minecraft classic we have an auto reply bot, it detects the phrase "How do I fly" and answers it telling them to get a client thing. But the problem is that people will ask in ways that are truly creative:
-How fly
-How fast move
-Want fly
-Need rank for fly (Ranks have nothing to do with flying)
-Want jump hi
…and so on.

So we deal with it, and now it will give a response when given:
-How did this fly get in my soup?!
-There is an annoying Howse fly in my room!
-I just want to slap that fly out of the air!
Now consider that people are also clever- If it warns them (which it should, given that it could end up triggering for things like "How many crowns does that cost?") then people will figure out a way to beg without begging. They will say things like "Borrow crowns" and "trade me crowns" instead of "Can I have crowns?".

All in all, you can always mute the people spamming their want for free meals and better wages on the streets as people have said. I suppose that the best feature for this, would be an 'auto mute' feature in which if a certain percentage of people have ignored a player in an area, it will give them a message saying that they have been muted. This percentage would have to be larger enough so that guilds could not all follow around people and ignore them, but small enough so that it actually happened. I would suggest something like 15 minimum ignores in an area, and >30% people ignoring the beggar. Of course, you'd still be able to hear them if you had them friended, and you would still be able to un-mute them for yourself if you particularly like beggars or something.

Sometimes I do the same thing

Sometimes I do the same thing Khomie does except I press "x" right away and ignore. The best way to deal with beggars is to just ignore them or taunt them.

Off topic: @Khomie I saw your solo/no death gauntlet run on YouTube, you were awesome!

It's Atrum, Healero.

How can you even disdiguish Begging to asking, to trading?

Banning is harsh.

You can simply ignore.

We are playing a game that

We are playing a game that you can legitly beg with writing /beg. So, begging isnt prohibitied. Then, you can only get rid of them by ignoring them or just saying no.
